  • Evening everyone. It really hasn't stopped raining all day! It was a nightmare getting to work this morning, loads of people were late. It's getting heavier now, but I don't mind since I'm in the house and tucked up in bed already ha ha
I do have a question for all you old-stylers though - some of the windows in our house have gaps in them. They are upvc, but either they are old, or they aren't very good and there's quite large gaps. I had a load of polyester toy stuffing and tonight I wedged a load of it in the gap in the bedroom window. Is there any other household item I can use to stop the draughts coming in through these gaps? We are waiting for our landlord to get new flooring for our kitchen and bathroom, I don't think he will stretch to new windows, especially since he is getting married early next year!
the only debt left now is on credit cards! The evil loan has gone!! :j:j

If the gaps are where the window frame meets the wall, could you not use expansion foam? Just be careful as it 'grows' massively.
