Morning all,

Another one thinking of the poor lad and his family.
Molly your husband sounds like a star hope dad continues to improve.
Camelot we had something similar when our house was up for sale last year, why do people think its on for the price it's on if your going to knock 35,000 off:eek:

It's wet here as well. It won't dampen my spirits as my brother arrives from Australia at lunch time:T:j I'm so excited. It's funny, I have three brothers but I'm much closer to him than the others despite him living so far away. We have very similar ideas about things.
Made an apple and cinnamon cake last night, its already half gone not me! And dh asked if I could make one with bananas this morning so that's my job after I've showered.
Mum and dad will be here mid morning to come to the airport with us.
I've got lots of supplies in for later because I will probably end up feeding everyone, my favourite thing to do.

Hope you have a great Friday x

Morning :hello:

Oh Camelot, how awful. My son is the same age, I can't even begin to imagine how they must be feeling

It's raining here, and very cool. Mr tru is working today, they're short staffed, so I have a day of peace and quiet :D

Miss tru is planning the Christmas Eve menu :D First thing on the list – chilli cheese bites. She love the takeaway ones and decided to try and make her own, she'll be practising and perfecting them today.

I couldn't sit still and relax yesterday so I flitted about and got quite a lot done. I WILL go through that craft mag today, and it's cool enough to crochet my blanket. I've tried over the last few days but it's been too hot to have a blanket on my lap.

Morning all

Very wet here, mind you the garden really needs it, cant remember the last time we had rain.

I am off to my volunteer work today, which I great fun and I love, so really look forward to it.

Need to nip to the shop first as we have no dog food, and Little dog has to eat 3 x a day with her diabetis, she had breakfast but there is nothing for lunch.

Dinner tonight will either be pizza and dough balls with salad or spag bol, depends what DD wants to cook, she has the day off today so will be in charge of cooking.

Camelot still thinking of that poor lads family, how heartbreaking for them x

Hugs for Molly and Hester x

Have good days all xx
• Good Morning chums ,
so sad for that poor lads parents I can't begin to think what sadness they are going through.
Weather here is supposed to rain (we really could do with a drop for the gardens)but so far the sun is still out.I am just about to go down to Aldi's to buy some fruit and veg that's needed as I am running a bit low.
Their sweet potato's are on the offer at the moment and I do enjoy them plus their peppers as well.I tried the Fat free yoghurt from there last week and it was delicious and only 45p for a huge pot.I use a lot of youghurt in cooking and instead of cream with fruit so its a good bargain.
I haven't a lot to buy as I am using up my stocks from indoors at the moment but fresh fruit and veg is a must.I haven't eaten any bread for almost two weeks and I honestly haven't missed it at all.

I spent last night turning up two of my DGS school trousers. To fit their waists DD had to but 13 & 14 year olds trousers for her 12 & 13 year olds Yet the boys are skinny lads but M&S's trousers seemed far too long.Still at least they will grow into them over the next year.:):)
I also have to over the week endreseaw all the buttons on their school shirts. They are attached by the minimum of threads and every year I spend an evening resewing them all.Luckily she managed not to have to buy new blazers as their existing ones still fit.I like the idea of school uniforms but the school shop prices seem to be extortionate for parents.
Right time I got a wriggle on,have a good day what ever you are doing

Morning all,
Hugs and kind thoughts to all who need them, too much sad news and illness :(

It's dull in Aberdeen but dry so far, expecting rain tomorrow and cloudy on Sunday... think it's officially the start of autumn.

Housework levels have been low this week, been too many things planned and none of use in getting ready to move. I did throw the hoover round the living room in between work and a quiz night. Got a new Vax on Tuesday and it's so awesome I may actually enjoy hoovering for a short while!
Have work drinks for a leaving do straight from work but have decided to take the car and not drink, there's a huge list of things to do and am quickly running out of time for it.

House move is currently being held up waiting for the final ok on the buy to let side, property was valued on Wednesday though so anxiously awaiting a call. We feel we have been conservative in the valuation and are quietly confident but I guess you never can tell. Hate knowing though that if the call doesn't come today I've all weekend to wait too. Seller of the new house is really pushing to exchange contracts but we've managed to buy till Monday.

Have a good day all and be strong xx
• MIA yesterday because my blepheritis has flared up and is very painful, so I was so sad to read of camelot's friend's son, what an awful tragedy.
Molly I hope that your Dad is improving.
Welcome to ScarlettsMum and busiscoming make yourselves comfortable you will soon feel at home here.
Just a quickie this morning I have a podiatry appointment today for the biomechanics and to have my dressings changed and it is an hour appointment so I must get my toosh in gear.
I will pop back later so BFN x

• Well I'm pleased with myself today. Made the Pickle, looks ok, so will have to try some later :)

While the oven was on sterilising the jars I made some banana buns and a bread pudding.

Still no rain and the sun is peeping through every now and then so hopefully the washing will be dry before I go to work.

Camelot and julie67 - The buyers have obviously been watching Location, Location, Location! Mind you everyone likes to think they may get a bargain.

BB - ouch! Son used to suffer from blepheritis but eventually outgrew it. I remember one mother in the playground asking if he had been fighting and had been hit in the eye!
I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.
• Morning everyone :)

Have moved and been here a week as of today. Trying to get back into some sort of routine now kids are in school but struggling a bit with the CBA's as I am soooooo sick of packing, unpacking, boxes and trying to find a home for everything.
Need to start compiling a list of people to advise of change of address. I swear I am gonna miss something important LOL
I am back to proper cooking though, no more junk foods all the time which I am pleased about.
I am really enjoying living here in Wiltshire :D For someone who has lived near Brum all my life it's pretty countrified even where we are now. It's not like living in a little village but there are just green fields everywhere. I am happy bunny :D
DS has settled into his new school, he loves his new classroom as it feels more open and spacious and has windows on three sides which I think helps. He clearly feels less hemmed in. DD unsurprisingly has taken to her new class like a duck to water....her teacher told me after her first day that she was "very confident" :rotfl: Think that's teacher speak for bossy and bit precocious :rotfl:

I am googling cleaning for hard water areas (confess I do miss my soft welsh water :o) so any tips in this area are welcome ;)

Anyway I had better dash and get a move on and start the ironing before it threatens to crush me. sorry I can't reply individually at mo.

Hugs and spoons all round xxx
