    Jesus! READ WHAT I PUT!

"I note that the Gillingham incident, dosn't seem to be the lorry driver's fault".

    Now now
next I'll have to put bus drivers have short fuses

Its one mention in a news article from an eye witness
how they gauge a driver not being able to do anything is tenuous at best
I wouldnt draw any conclusions from that
even more so from an article that mentions no helmet, when a cyclist is killed by head & chest injuries from a lorry

Sorry but you just seem to pick the slightest thing as an argument. At the end of the day you, being a 'responsible' cyclist should not disagree with me on the 'no lights at night' issue.

I've already agreed that not all bus drivers are angels so instead of giving conflicting opinions, why not admit the fact that a cyclist should not be riding along a main, unlit rural road at night without adequate lights?

As for the Gillingham incident, I wasn't there so all I have to go on is the info presented in the article. And no, I don't draw conclusions on just one person's opinion but it maybe, just maybe the case that the lorry driver was not at fault.

you mean like I did and you replied to?
    As a responsible driver
Why arent you posting about the failures of drivers you see every day?(as I do)
Why are posting about cyclists on the motoring board.
We still havent got a point to this thread

[STRIKE]We[/STRIKE] I still havent got a point to this thread

Corrected for you. I have previously answered this I believe. Just proves my point; you just want argument.

I think the point of the thread has been made. There is NO legitimate reason for cycling at night without lights and it seems some cyclists will continue to learn the hard way.

At least we got that interesting post earlier (post #40, I believe).

And I thought when I saw a new post on this thread from you it would have been this story which also has a thread on the Public Transport & Cycling sub forum - cyclists still not getting it.
