The power cut could be from the battery not being fitted correctly, you said yourself you had just put in a new battery so without getting it back you don't know.
Also as has already been said the "turn off transmitter" method is not recommended, just because you have done it before with no issues doesn't mean it should be done, certainly not regularly. This could have contributed to it failing this time.0 -

The battery was fully plugged in before flight, so it was secure from my point of view.
The failing (lost of led sight) when I was flying the quadcopter was prior the turn off the transmitter. So is impossible that it contributed to the the failing.0 -
