what are my right remote control quadcopter

I have recently purchased a remote control quadcopter. The quadcopter has a cleaver 'return to home' function if you turn off your transmitter. This does not appear to work and the quadcopter is now lost. I have brought this in a UK online retailer. I have operated the quadcopter as per instruction.
I was wondering what are my rights? Am I entitled to a replacement?

Yes, it was faulty.
But you will no doubt have to find it to prove it was faulty!
Have you contacted the place you bought if from?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Could equally have been pilot error.
Yes could be. But in this case, the quadcopter behaved abnormally. I've have put in a fully charged battery and 20 seconds into the flight, the led light under the quadcopter is not seen in the sky. So I proceeded with turning off the remote, which should trigger the 'return to home' fail safe and it didn't return.
Yes, I have spoke to the retailer where I purchased it from, but they were not going to send me a replacement. I understand from their point of view it could be pilot error etc. But what can do in this situation? Do I have any right with a lost product?0 -
Sorry but they will say... Pilot error.. 20 seconds is nowhere near long enough for it to get a fixed position.
The only thing to do is go looking for it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

If it's got a 'return to home' function, wouldn't it need to get the fixed position as soon as it sets off - otherwise how does it know where home is?0 -
Brilliant, post of the month.
Please don't feed the troll.0 -
Just out of interest, how would this 'return to home' work if the transmittor is turned off?0

It would probably have to use gps. I've had a quick look online and there are certainly helicopters with return home functionality.0

Look at it their way
You've walked into the shop saying "I have the controller, but no plane, it's return to home function failed"
Their view is (quite reasonably) "You could of crashed it/flew it into a wall"0 -
A bit like homing pigeons, you don't do a 1,000 mile flight on day one, you chech their homing abilities over ever increasing distances.0
