Hi,
I have also recently experienced the joys of the lovely cross street retail park.
They've recently changed the signs too, which is nice!
Could you offer any advice on how to approach the matter with Farmfoods customer service?
I plan on ringing them tomorrow, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry Tutem - only just seen your post. Sorry to hear you have also been stung there.
I would recommend following the general advice given in the parking forum first. I'm not sure what the up-to-date advice is - but I think it is to appeal to the parking company and then through POPLA. Please check the pros and cons of this first though.
At the same time you could contact Farmfoods customer service on the number I quoted above. I explained our specific situation, gave all the details of the time of parking and reg no. etc. I said that I was not happy with my wife receiving multiple requests for payment. We are regular customers there. They advertise free parking and the ticket is not legally enforceable.
Hope this helps.0 -
Hey,
Thanks for the advice, I have been through the appeals process via smart parking but missed POPLA appeal due to personal circumstances.
I have contacted Farmfoods and have left them my details with information regarding my situation so we will see what happens and I will update this thread or create a new thread with all the information.

With regard to parking in the Cross Street retail park, Long Eaton:
I too had letters from Smart Parking and Debt Recovery Plus. After ignoring the initial letters, as soon as the DRP one came, I e-mailed customerservices@farmfoods.co.uk, and had a reply the following day to tell me the charge had been cancelled! Well done Andy Long at Farmfoods!0
