broadband for the car

  • With respect, it sounds as if you're going to try streaming video whilst on the move, in a car, with all the interruptions to signel such as tunnels, poor or no reception areas and interference from other vehicles. You're on a hiding to nothing, it's difficult enough to get a reliable cellphone signal for voice calls let alone streaming.

Your best bet is to download some programmes from home, put them onto their respective devices and play them from there. If they run out of things to watch, there must be some scenery to admire or something.

Even with 4G or whatever the next incarnation is with Mobile telephony, getting a decent signal in a tunnel or with external interference is gonna be difficult.

Don't see what there is to check, buy a one month 1gb sim (£10.49) via quidco and you get £12.50 cash back.

When it runs out you buy another one, repeat as necessary

Net result is 3/quidco give you £2.01 for every 30 days/1gb you use

I told you what to check.

So what was the point of the post? :D Do all iPads have mobile Internet capability? ;) If so, Ovivo would be an alternative.

Clearly if the iPads had 3G modules, the OP wouldn't be asking about Internet. You dropped the ball on this one. :)

Because they stopped them before, but then brought them back, but then stopped again. So you never know they might be back.

And when people started talking about tariffs, it just reminded me of that one.

Plus, you could get a sim adapter and use them in anything, so they would have fit in the dongles too.

I get your point though. :)
