Thanks for the replies - I just wanted to check if this was already out there as an option as I am not very up to date with technology as it moves so fast!!
I was asking for tips as we go hiking at weekends and drive for 3 hrs or more each way so no it's not a trip to tesco I was wanting it for, it was for my kids to watch tv on their iPads to pass some time on our journeys
Many thanks0 -

Orange won't thank me for saying this, but you can purchase one of these for 5GB on a one month contract. If you only want it to run for one month, you should activate it and then give them your 30 day notice on the same day.
Once they've used up the 5GB and the month is over, you can unlock the thing for less than a Pound and use a PAYG data SIM, such as this one with 3GB valid for up to 3 months.0 -

Yep and 3 via quidco will give £12.50 cash back so if you buy a succession of the £10 1gb/30 day sims then 3/quidco are actually paying you £2.50 for every gb of data you use0 -

They sound 'spoilt'
Let them look out the windows as most kids did 20 years ago

The tmobile sims were best with 12 months free internet. Supposed to be for iphones, but worked in ipads too.
I think they stopped doing those though.0 -

So what was the point of the post?
Do all iPads have mobile Internet capability?
If so, Ovivo would be an alternative.
Clearly if the iPads had 3G modules, the OP wouldn't be asking about Internet. You dropped the ball on this one.

Check Quidco for yourself.
Don't see what there is to check, buy a one month 1gb sim (£10.49) via quidco and you get £12.50 cash back.
When it runs out you buy another one, repeat as necessary
Net result is 3/quidco give you £2.01 for every 30 days/1gb you use0
