What a waste of space some people are, taking up valuable oxygen more worthwhile people need !

Well, it's been an enjoyable thread. I have of course (having been sussed by some posters) been on a complete wind up. It was fun.

I'm confuddled. How were you winding people up? And when?

Oh come on please, it was obviously a bit of fun and a few of us joined in.

In future, I will make it really clear I'm joking so that all the old people get it. That includes all you old young hobbit people who live in bungalows.

Strewth, get a sense of humour you ol' fuddy-duddies.

Like I said, some people are a waste of space and time wasters. These forums are to help people with advice and information, not to waste people's time replying to someone who is just on a wind up mission !

Some people have better things to do you moron !
  • I'm in my 30s with 3 children and would happily live in a bungalow if it was right for us

Like what? Ironing? Tossing the caber? Quadratic equations?

MSE is partly recreation for many people and often it's their daily mental workout too. It's not a job, nor is it compulsory, or always entirely serious.

I'm sure the title of the thread provided amusement for many of us, even though it wasn't posted in jest. It almost invited the wind-up artists in. I'm sorry you didn't spot them for what they were. :)

Who appointed you to decide what these forums are for? Forums are different things to different people; if some of us want to share a bit of fun, it's really none of your business.

And please don't refer to me as a moron; I may not be able to stop myself from addressing you in similar terms if you persist in being rude.

He didn't spot it because he's evidently as thick as two short planks.

Damn, tried to stop myself but rude people just deserve it :D.

Doesn't that really depend where you have your TV

We tried all sorts of ways, and this was the only way that the furniture actually fit. We could have put the TV and sofa against the other wall, but it would either mean that the TV was flush against the window, or was facing the window and got the glare from it.

I know it takes all sorts but I have never understood how people derive fun from winding others up.
  • You have to be pretty blinkered to not spot Lord Baltimore's amateurish attempts at trolling, as wind ups go he's about as subtle as a kick in the balls
