Hi D.Free, :hello:
Sorry to hear DS2 isn't well; poor little chap, hope he's feeling better by now (and no-one else catches his lurgi!).
Glad to hear you are now getting some co-operation from Tenant; fingers crossed she honours her words.
Great news that you're so close to your savings total! :Tdebtfreewannabe321 wrote:I did a little snooping earlier and came up with some info: I knew what the dog's name was next door and where she was from (area) and that was all. So I put those into google and I found her on the first hit She is in fact a malamute x husky so that is why she is big i'm assuming? I had another look just now and her picture has been taken down now so I can't show you
Right; she's a Mal X. Can I ask if you found her photo on a rescue site or somewhere like Gum7ree? Am still having problems believing a refuge would let this dog go to a new owner without a home-check.kissjenn wrote:I measured my husky last night and her shoulder is about a third of the way up my thighs. I'm only 5'4 and bit so she's not huge. About a border collie I'd say.
Malamutes look exactly the same as huskies but are twice the size. Photograph them without anything for reference and you couldn't tell them apart.
Unscrupulous back-yard breeders sometimes sell Malamute pups as Huskies (worth more!). It is hard for a novice owner to tell the difference; I've had more than one disagreement with blokes each convinced his Mal was a Husky, who wanted to know why the dog accompanying me was so 'stunted'?kissjenn wrote:Misha doesn't quite hit Robin's weight specifications
Adult female Husky should weigh no more than 23kg. Know this because we had a foster-Husky who was 29kg when she arrived; definitely a full-blood Husky [with KC papers] but grossly over-weight. It took two years to slim her down to 24kg; never managed to shift the last kilo so that dog just looked fat/pregnant.Sun_Addict wrote: »Feel like I've missed out on something as all I've ever done in Leicester is shopped!

I'm so f*****d off right now I could cry!
DS2 was sick 5 more times, had to bath him and put him in my bed and sit up till 2am when he finally stopped being sick. I dozed off almost straight away and then DD woke up screaming that her legs were hurting her! She gets "growing pains" quite often and it wakes her up. So gave her ibuprofen and she sobbed herself to sleep. I went to bed but didn't sleep well. Then this morning I was like a zombie (i'm not good on anything less than 9 hours sleep ) and took kids to school. Got home to 3 missed calls from v'nquis. They rang again and i was nearly in tears already at feeling so bl00dy frustrated. They were useless. Called their customer service dept. Of course they weren't allowed to discuss the account so i asked why they keep ringing ME then when i've told them a DOZEN times AT LEAST that DH is away till December. I was paying more on the phone call than the amount DH "apparently" owes
I got a letter from them yesterday and the amount is £5. !!!!!! seriously. Fuming doesn't even cover it. I explained everything should be paid off and dh won't be home to talk to him and the idiot was an arrogant !!!!!! with no emotions so I went nuts and started shouting and swearing. Idiots, do they seriously try to p1ss people off as much as they can
:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(
And all day i have to wait in for workmen for a job that will make my whole house dirty and dusty
:(:(

OH NO!!! My father has just rung and told me he's changed the locks on my house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know what to do
I asked him why he'd done it and he said he'd been in there and it's filthy, pet urine and excrement everywhere, carpets (new when she moved in) ruined, all the walls need cleaning/repainting again. I have actually just had enough today and don't even know what to do now. How am I going to tell her she can't get in now to get her things and now i'm put in the position of being in the wrong even though I didn't f****g authorise anyone to do this. Am actually crying now, this one has broken me! Let's hope nothing else happens today.

Awww massive hugs DFw, do you want their non-charging number? I've got it listed in my phone from saynoto0870 (best website aside from this one!).
How is DS2 today? Hope he's starting to feel a bit better.
I didn't sleep particularly well last night either and woke around 9:45 to realise I'd missed a conference call, d'oh! I shall join you in the grumpiness if that's ok
Hope your day improves xxDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Ooh cross-posted. Ask your Dad to get another key cut and place it somewhere that she can access it, flower pot or something. That way she still has access to the property but so do you. Not really sure what to say about the way she's left the place, that's completely out of order
but she did say she'd sort it out, so here's my PMA thinking just maybe... Diary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

I just had the same thought, it's the only way I can get around hopefully not being implicated in doing something wrong? If I let her have access then I'm sure she won't mind? after all she told me the door was broken so I can tell her I wanted to get some jobs done? Do you think she'll fall for it and not somehow get me in trouble. I'm actually so angry with my dad, I told him NOT to do this the other day. He always does what he thinks is best, regardless of what anyone else thinks

(((Hugs!)))
Can you doze on the couch until workmen show up?
Get some more rest while you can.
What on earth are they going to do that will mess up the whole house?
V@nquis: Just put down 'phone every time they call, unless you can block unidentified numbers?
Puking child: Share your pain. Am pretty good at coping with medical mishaps [as you may have noticed, lol] but the smell of vomit has me running for the loo in sympathy every time. Not good, so years ago spent a lot of money finding an effective remedy to stop kids throwing up; best combination was homoeopathic Ipecac and D!arolyte. (Not recommending these but suggest you may like to investigate for yourself, following advice from suitably qualified professionals of course).
Growing pains: A banana a day [until attacks stop] and check there is enough calcium in child's diet. (Same caveat as above
).
More (((hugs))) - hope your day gets better!

Goodness me look what's happened in the time it took me to post.
Did Tenant actually report the door lock to be broken? If not, then send Dad back to replace old locks PDQ (you'll have to change them when she finally goes anyway).
You'd need Tenant's agreement to go in and do any maintenance so maybe not a good idea to suggest that retrospectively.
If she's not there get the house returned to the way it was as fast as possible; hope she never finds out!
Is house in north or south Wales? (Do have a reason for asking).
Dad needs a rocket where the sun don't shine - I would be incandescent, even though it's Dad..0 -
Ooh Robin, I agree with the banana a day. Potassium does wonders for the body, so does the magnesium in it
If she doesn't like bananas then shove it into a smoothie for her, or a banana milkshake with a little bit of choc powder
