 Brizzled to the c/heating lol, the things we do when the OH is away. I'm waiting for mine to go away again so I can paint the dining room lime green and cream. Last time I started to paint the nursery and he had to do it himself haha. I think he MIGHT be away tomorrow dun dun dunnnnn. Needs doing before the furniture arrives, so may as well get on with it ;)

Poo to croppy tenant DFw (small w as your not wannabe anymore :p) I think you might have to write off the money less the DPS deposit sadly. Can you send a locksmith round to change the locks? Is that even allowed? She's given notice and in breech of contract, I can't remember my landlord law from when I was renting and looking it up in London. Do you not have a spare set of keys? All our landlords have always had spare sets, least then you can see if there's any damage or whether you can get someone new in straight away. What a bother though grrr.

Hope you enjoy your time at your Mums this weekend, and get to take some time to relax and put all the worries to one side :) x

Kerri my father has just said the same thing. Send a locksmith round, change locks and get keys sent to letting agent so you can let it out. She has told me she still has stuff in the house that needs moving so what would I do with that??? She is in breach of contract as she's over 3 months late now (again!) I am thinking about it as my DF says at least I don't have to wait until the 24th only to do the same. The house could be up on the market by then and nearly let! Hmmm I just feel bad doing it (what is wrong with me :( I need a backbone here)

ETA: I've emailed her and if I receive no reply by Monday I will be getting a locksmith around to change locks and sent off to the letting agency. I've told her I need an address, an idea of when she plans to leave so I can collect keys and either full payment or partial payment and a plan in place to pay me what is owed. I've told her I will get a CCJ out against her otherwise which will impair her credit (i'm probably making things up again but who knows maybe I can actually do this one :p )

  • Hello all :j

Well i've been busy this morning, washing is on as is DW, breadmaker and slow cooker. Had a quick clean around and will hoover in a bit. I've emailed tenant and eagerly awaiting a reply ;) (not) as I said before i'm just 'so over her' I haven't the energy to get angry with her! All i want is the keys back so I don't need to pay a locksmith as well as write off £1k. She's probably sick of hearing from me but I don't care unless I get a satisfactory response and some form of payment I won't stop. Silly mare.

I need to pack a few bags for the weekend yet as I should have done it last night but didn't :o same as bread, dishwasher etc etc hence i've had to do it all today :rotfl:

Husky adventures continue! I took Duke for a walk this morning in the opposite direction to last time we saw her. She had also done the same thing I'm guessing in case she bumped into us . We literally crossed paths, said pleasantries and walked off in different directions. Duke took that full 10 seconds to growl and bite the air as if he wanted to bite her :( I have no idea why he hates her so much. She was in the garden just 10 minutes ago too and I ran out with rubbish (it's rubbish day and I heard the lorry coming, I always forget!:rotfl:) and she literally jumped over the fence at me :( I can see why a little dog would be scared i'm getting more and more scared every time she jumps at me! She only didn't make it over as her paw got caught so stopped her momentarily, enough time for me to run back in  I just hope they get a fence put up soon or I will have to have a word with them. My 2 smaller kids haven't met her yet and i'm worried she will knock them down and jump over at them otherwise. That I think would finish Duke off! He's so protective of us I think he would have heart failure if he saw that

So anyway I best get on and do some more jobs and packing! I also need to make sure kids have at least one ironed uniform for Monday I don't fancy doing that on Sunday after a long drive back! :)

Hope you have a nice weekend away anyway xx

Like that M2G...DFW321 polishing that halo!!:rotfl:

It is a tough one but really hope you can move on and next time you get some really considerate tenants. You don't have to be best buddies (especially when they are miles away) but for goodness sake some courtesy would be good. And..given what your OH does for a living you'd think she'd be more scared of upsetting the boys :rotfl:

Have a great weekend and don't think about the silly c@w anymore than you absolutely have to!
