Loop in ceiling rose - identification

Before I actually ' do the deed', can someone just give their opinion on this set up. I think the yellow must be the ' switched live' for the extractor fan.

Fitting a new flush fitting instead of ceiling rose in bathroom.

New fitting obviously has just the brown and blue wires to attach to the existing set up via connections.

The existing ceiling rose has ;

4 red wires( 2 together, 2 separate)
3 earth wires- all together
1 yellow( on own)
1 blue
3 blacks( 2 together, 1 with blue)

existing light fitting (just white bulb fitting)- 1 wire to same block as yellow, 1 to same block as black.

There is an extractor fan.

There is no ' switched live' identifier.

thank you

Can you post a photo of the exisitng wiring setup? It's a little difficult to visualise from your description. The yellow could be switch-live but you say it's on its own?

The 4 Reds are properly Live feeds as per Attached, the other colours are a bit confusing, but could be for Extractor as mentioned

Upload the photo to a picture sharing site such as tinypic:

You would have to assume that the yellow is the switched live.

If yellow is indeed switch-live, where is the connection for the fan trigger?

don't want to sound rude but if your not sure what your doing get someone who does know
If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague
  • No offence taken. Clearly, I'm not totally sure what I am doing like many people on these sort of forums, that is why we are on here! I am not clueless though and recently replaced 6 spot lights in the kitchen after an electrician had suggested it was going to be a ' big job'. Basically, I have a new light fitting with a blue and a brown wire to connect up to the existing set up shown in the photo.Normally, I would just follow the previous colours but, in this case, the existing bulbholder just had 2 white wires going to either end as I believe is ok with simple bulb holder fittings. I will also have to take out the ceiling rose and put the existing wires into terminal blocks but this should be a straightforward copying exercise.
