Woohoo! I don't check my emails for a few days, and look at all the news.
Good luck Piq, just being nosey, what were you doing in that small expensive garden centre in the first place?Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j
If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!0 -
Hi Piq,
Good luck in the new job, I hope it goes smoothly. Does your present employer know that this awful situation has cost you £800? They can't take your fear away but they could make a financial contribution towards the physical damage.0 -
Hope things really pick up for you and life gets easier.

No-one has asked yet where I'm going! I think they assume I'm going back to where I was before. I'll let them carry on with that train of thinking.
Hello lurker:D
I almost work with children, all blokes and I mean blokes. Not only blokes but the sort that have never really spoken to a woman before [apart from their mothers]
Yes, might be a problem, particularly with a garden that has nothing but lumpy weeds and patches of field grass...Your comment just caused me to cackle outloud in a particularly attractive way...

Do you have to work your notice?
I am working my notice now. Two more evening shifts and one lunch time one leftWonderful news Piq about your new job, really pleased for you. :j
If you start doing pots again please let me know as now we're in a house with a garden I seem to have developed green fingers and have only killed one plant since we've moved
Only one plant? Well done you! I think I'll probably start the pots during the winter. I need to paint six for myself to go up the steps to the front door. It won't be easy as I have already planted them up with dark red and bright orange geraniums, going for a Mediterranean look.Woohoo! I don't check my emails for a few days, and look at all the news.

Err did pick up the amazing orange geraniums, purely by accident you understand? I'd actually taken my Mum there for lunch to cheer her up as she was a bit down. Came out with a cheerful Mum and a jobTotal debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

I've just bought a really nice small blue metal table for the garden, even though I don't have a flat piece of ground to put it on:o but I will have and it was only £20
I'm hoping that the boys will be able to start leveling me a seating area in the next month or so, hoping even harder that they might put down some slabs too:D
Very tired today, not because I worked late but because I forgot to lock the cat flap last night. Brave adventurous rebellious Colin decided to go for a night time wander. He must have gone a fair way out when the heavens opened and he got very wet indeed. I heard the cat flap shudder on it's hinges as he flew through the flap. Then he felt the need to cuddle up and tell me all about it. Cold wet cat + 3:00am = one very awake owner:eek: Why does he only want cuddles when he's wet?Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30
