2 drummys are cool, you can't let it flam too much though, has to be tight. I don't even mind playing from off stage (so long as I'm mic-ed) you can have all the glory, nothing new for me there.

OK, another question from the back - why do you have to be mic-ed?

    One litre of apple juice.
    One chocolate spread sandwich.

Everyone on stage is mic-ed or no one would hear you. A drum kit usually has 2/3 overheads for cymbals, 2 mics on snare, 1 on each tom, 1 inside the kick and one outside. That way drummy gets the lovely fat sound he wants and the punters get to feel the kick in their chests. Even in small venues we mic drums, otherwise no one would get any in their monitors and mr sound man wouldn't be able to mix the kit in with the rest of the band to get a good level/mix. If it's a tiny venue, we mic but make drummy play with hot rods instead of sticks and watch him/her moan. I can get through half a dozen sticks in one set, hotrods last a tune usually, but then all of my snare hits are rim shots. Did that make any sense?

well folks, for once i've got my slap on and i'm off out in about 10 minutes.

i've narrowed my choice down to the peri peri chicken livers with spicy rice or caesar salad with a chicken breast. I'm going to have the pitta bread and red pepper dip to start with.

no chips, and no garlic bread.............sob.........
