can i run something past you all?
however please give me your honest opinions
my brother uses xbox live, he brought his xbox360 upon release so i am guessing its 2 years old+ now for xmas i would like to get him the new elite... however his 360 is at deaths door... seriously he play it on average 8+ hours a day and has 2 fans (you know normal house fans) blowing onto it  so i would like to preorder the elite from my game store and buy it and give it to him on release... however there are 2 things putting me off....
1) its release after payday... so if i am still learning to drive (but i wont) i will need to use some of my savings (part of them anyway (in sig) are xmas savings anyway) as augs pay instead of saving i am paying for college (£207.00)
2) how do i 'put him off buying one' if i decide to buy it for him? i can get hold of someone who he speaks to online through me wii ~ thus finding out if he will buy one but how can i put him off?
thanks in advance superpap :rotfl:0 -
You could be honest with him - say something like 'I have got you a Xmas present that you will love, but I'm worried you are going to go out and buy it yourself before Xmas - I don't want to tell you what it is, but if you are thinking of buying anything that has a plug, that costs more than £xx please would you check with me first'!"I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

Well done Kazl :T :T
Superpap - is it a lot of money, ie: the amount you would normally spend? If not, could you not put some money towards it for him or vouchers for a shop that will sell itIf you would normally spend this amount Snaggles's advice sounds good.
