  • Morning all, only briefly skimmed over the posts this last week but just wanted to send my best wishes to Weller. I'm so sorry to hear about your cat - pets become part of your family and their loss leaves a huge gap in your life. I hope you can take some comfort in the knowledge that he was much loved and had a wonderful life with you.

On the diet front, I've managed to put back on the pound I lost last week:o (who'd have thought that 30g of Walkers Salt & Vinegar would morph into one pound of fat??!!) Anyway better luck this week - I've got the Food Doctor cook book so am going to try some of the receipes. I had toasted seeds/oats and live yogurt for breakfast, it was ok but would have much preferred marmite on buttered toast:drool:

I'm not even going to think about what I've eaten over the weekend, let alone drank  Vodka *is* calorie free tho, right?!

I'm fairly sure there'll be no loss this week, but we'll see on wednesday! Well done to everyone who has lost this week

Felt really pants over the weekend. Had curry on Friday night and sunday lunch out yesterday. Hopefully I'll lose something, but feeling very low so not expecting much.

He turned up last night. As if nothing had happened. I decided to just wait for something to be said and at 9.30 he fell asleep on the sofa, so I left him there. Didn't really say much this morning and has gone.

Not really sure of the next move, it took me months to get to the point of saying 'there are huge problems' and now I feel a bit empty and.....don't know, not bewildered but a bit lost. My umph has definitely gone!

Anyway, I need to try to work it out in my head but food wise today

waffles and beans (yay, waffles re-stocked!)
cheese on toast (I think, not sure!)
    chicken, peppers, onions, rice

It's tricky Keren because I know what you should do but I do understand what you mean by feeling lost. It's really hard.

What I would take from this though is that he quite clearly doesn't want to lose you. As I've said before he needs you more than you need him. You give him a daily ego boost, his brain obviously can't absorb the idea that you might not want him.

As someone on the outside I would suggest putting your foot down and not letting him in anymore. Cut him off and make him realise that he has to change because you are miserable. He's never going to get it while things are carrying on as usual, and the trouble is if nothing much happens this time it will water down any future atempts at getting him to sort himself out.

But, it is easy for me to say and much harder to do. Friends were telling me for months to do the same thing with my ex but I didn't do it until I found him in bed with a 19 year old on boxing day.

If you're up to it, I would perhaps write another letter telling him that sod off means just that, don't call, don't text and don't come round unless something has changed (which you might or might not give a damn about). He just isn't going to get it otherwise I fear.

If you can't do this, none of us will think any less of you, we've been there and understand. You will do it when the time is right. If you don't want this for the rest of your life it's just a matter of time until he pushes you so far you can't do anything but get him out.
