  • thanks toto and weller... yes i can afford it this is how... once its brought my sig savings will be £0 then every month i spend £50 on bus fare, £180 on lessons save £300 and spends £80 now if i get one before i pass i will use my savings to keep it on the road once i have passed my test i have the bus fare and lesson money = £230 to pay for monthly ~ ins (payed monthly), petrol, saving for roadside assistance (i will pay upfront for this coming year) saving for mot and saving for services/repairs it will cost me approx £200 to keep it leaving £30 spare to put into my repairs/mot fund on top of that already saving per month. I will then (once passed my test) still have my £300 savings each month and my spends money.

however thinking about it i have no way to get the car to home as i have said before no one wants to help me so i guess it will have to wait untill i have passed  otherwise it would be a waste

Don't be silly pap of course you can discuss this here, blimey you just need to look at my daily drivel to know anything goes here.

Daily drivel? How very dare you?!

This is leading edge incisive social commentary and deep and philosophical discussion.

Yes - all of it. Even the alledged flirting...

Pap, have you told your mum how you feel? I find it really sad that you feel your mum doesn't care about you as much as your sister. Do you think it would help if you sat and told her how you feel? ask for her advice regarding the car, and her help if you decide to buy it.

It could just be that your mum feels she doesn't need to push you, maybe she sees you as so capable of getting things done she doesn't have to encourage you. Your sister doesn't sound half as able to deal with life as you are, so maybe your needs just get forgotten because your sister is so obviously needy.

I might be way off, but I did wonder if you'd talked it through with her. I hate that you feel no one cares or wants to help you.

  • yes toto many a time, but mostly it ends in an aguement that makes me out wrong, now i dont bother. Font get me wrong my mum cares about me the most as she has told me on many occasions but my sister always likes to do things first and if the world doesnt revolove around her she doesnt care  this means me and my brother are always left out of everything. Once my sister passed the weekend my mum dropped all the plans with me to go and find her a car, i ask my mum about helping find my car but she is too preocupied. Maybe she doesnt like to see me grow up? even talking to her about returning to college she doesnt seem to care so then it has a knock on effect to me and i think why do i botther/ if no one wants me to do anything why bother? 2 years, one serious accident and 3k i could have saved, thats how i now look at it

anyways enough of this its just depressing the thread

There really is no arguing with that is there ;)

So to add to todays [strike]drivel[/strike] leading edge incisive social commentary and deep and philosophical discussion I would like to say:

PAP - IMO, I would wait until you have passed, your figures show that you can clearly afford it but what more of an incentive

Z & keren - Hope you are both feeling better soon :)

weller - WELL DONE ANDY :T Happy Anniversay and enjoy your evening ;)

Toto - I think that choccy-nock was well deserved and maybe this means I have rotten temper but I think Mr Toto is bl00dy lucky that's all you did

Natasha - :grouphugs: snuggle into mummy wee one, she WILL make it all better

The new boys - WHERE ARE YOU?!?!

    Anyone I have forgotton - Sorry :o

:grouphug: PAP I think that Toto might be right [for a change  she's good aint she] in that your mum feels that you are way above capable where as your sister still needs her guidance. Toto put it better than that but you get my gist

And its not depressing, its bothering you therefore relevent to your friends
