aww lucy we all have days/weeks like that. Rather than eat when you feel stressed how about first going to brush your teeth (the minty taste stops me wanting to eat) and then doing something relaxing. Sometimes I will go and soak in a bubble bath or just lie on the bed reading a book for half an hour.

I find it really helps my emotional eating if I acknowledge the fact I am eating for some other reason than hunger. So, if I find myself looking in the fridge I ask, why am I eating? am I hungry? do I feel stressed, lonely, hormonal, tearful. If I'm not hungry I walk away and do something for me, but tell myself if I really want that piece of chocolate in 30 mins then I can have it.

I also find exercising a really good stress reliever, even just taking a walk. Even if you have gained a little, what does that matter? It's one week and a few pounds out of a lifetime, not such a big deal is it? There's always today and tomorrow.

I know I keep thinking that.

I was reading my Back Book (I slipped a disc 3 yrs ago) and I can cycle or walk. So if the weather is nice I might get my bike out of the shed tonight and see how that goes.

But I have a clear week ahead so if I can get my head around it I should be on for a good loss next week. It's not helping that the dreaded RED week has started. So I'm emotional, stressed and in pain!!! God help the men I work with!!!

    Morning

Fab post Toto, I think you have just prevented me from falling off the wagon (I was thinking 'mmmmmm, biscuits...' when I read your post, but am managing to resist).

I've had porridge for breakfast (no sugar or anything), no idea what's for lunch as hubby has nicked the last of the salad and there's no soup left, and dinner is jacket potato with possibly beans or maybe salsa.

Haddock with salad and low fat mayo for tea

Numerours glass of no sugar juice (if I can swallow them all)

and as a snack I'm having some red grapes and .............. a very small Turksih Delight :o

So a NS day for me today.

And I'm going to have a go on my step machine when Mollie has her afternoon nap. I bought it last year and never used so I'm now going to make some use of it as I think excersise is needed as I never do any.

Hope everthing goes ok for you at hospital LIV xxxx

Edit: Do you go to special clinic - my OH is at the Colitis one this morning too, hes been taking steriods for over 2 months now and every time he reduces the dose, it flares up again. I have every sympathy with you.
