I too think that i am unlucky, entering around 100-200 a day, i have never won anything big, and haven't had a win for nearly a year..

I use to post comps too, but i haven't got the heart to do it anymore, i avoid the 'i won' forum as much as possible, as i saw a competition that i did win, but i couldn't claim the prize as i didn't have the ID they wanted.

It then went to someone else, which i saw posted on here :(

I am happy for the winners, don't get me wrong, i just wish my time would come, comping for nearly 4 years and i have won, around 6 small items.

Wishing you lots of luck xxx

Sorry to hear that, I would be gutted if I saw someone had won the prize that was meant for me. Especially if it was a big one.

I too have started to wonder how people are winning 10+ or even 20+ prizes a month when I am entering almost everything and hardly seeing a return. I feel like I am the unluckiest person in the world and have even checked my details a million times to make sure of no mistakes in my postal address, etc.

I refuse to avoid the IWIWIW section though because it motivates me to carry on.
  • I'm sorry to hear you're feeling unlucky SandA, I hope it's a feeling that is dislodged by a whole stream of wins very soon xx

I don't I think it's your comping routine at all - you're entering comps and that is the way to win :) I didn't mean that to sound flippant, I just hear a lot of folk say "*grumble grumble* I never win a thing!" but when you ask them "oh so you enter comps do you?" they say no!

You asked what our routines were, well I do enter comps daily (I do them as I see them - I'm not organised enough to do them a day or two before closing), I only enter comps for things I really want to win or for things I know someone I love would really like, I do puzzle magazines (have for 20 yrs +) but I NEVER do Word Searches because I believe life is to short :rotfl: even if I found a Word Search comp with the prize of a sack o' cash, a fast car and 4 hrs with Randy Orton I wouldn't do it.

I'm one of these (apparently sickeningly) happy optimistic people and I always feel lucky, seeing good fortune in the smallest of things. Last month I won a voucher code for a 12" Cheese & Tomato pizza, the very next day I won a £2 voucher for some McCain's oven chips. I'm a strapping lass, I love my food and so I felt like the luckiest woman ever!

Try to hold on to the positive, enjoy your hobby & I'm POSITIVE your luck will swish round VERY SOON!

    Rae xx

I can't answer the luck question, but my routine changes.

I've got dailies saved in 3 folders - Dailies, Spins and Oz for the Femail.com.au comps. Some days I will do all of them, sometimes just the dailies and sometimes none.

I usually scour the first 5 pages here for any biggies or prizes I really want, then I'll sort into date order and do what finishes today. I also try to do a few that finish at the end of the month. Then I scan for things on my dream list - TVs, vouchers, cash.

  • You know what just enter what you can and as many as you can. Any wins are a bonus .... stop thinking about the lack of winning and what everyone else has won just make sure your names in the hat so to speak then at least then you know you have a chance. Thats what I do .. sometimes I enter loads sometimes not that many it all depends on how I feel and whats going on in my life if you know what I mean, I dont really have a routine, obviously the more you enter the more chance you have got so do what you can to increase the odds of a win.

I would really like a holiday win so my first routine if not comped for a while is to search for those and enter them first
