Anyone else just very unlucky? and whats your routine?

Hello
Well I am feeling so unlucky and envious whenever I look on the I won board lol!
I have been comping again for a month, entering thousands of competitions (approx 200 per day!) and I have won a £20 nail kit. Which is better then nothing absolutely but I see so many people on the I won board winning loads of stuff and I just wonder whether I am just very unlucky? or whether my routine is at fault.
I usually sort the board in date order, and entering all comps that are ending the next day. I then search todays date and enter any new ones posted today. Additionally I do all the mag dailys, magazine puzzles etc everyday.
Is my habit the fault of my lack of wins? I read previously that entering the day before the end date was better.. and people won more. But I just feel like this isn't the case lol!
So, what are your comping routines?
Be lucky all :j

I don't know if I believe that entering just before the end date increases your chances. I think everyone has the same chance and it literally just is the luck of the draw! Each entry is as valid as the next and I genuinely simply believe that you have to be in it to win it.
I keep up with the comps I want to enter, organise my daily comps and usually do them early morning, in the evening or if I have time, during the day.
The best thing I find then to do - FORGET ABOUT THEM! I enter something then move onto the next.
Keep at it and stay positive0 -
How many do you enter per day?x0

I've Just finished a three and a half month dry spell, same as you, I do about 200 per day.. you've just got to keep on going, you'll get a win eventually.
Try the comps that are less popular with compers, ie rafflecopters, surveys and anything requiring a bit of effort.0 -
Hun, if you do this expecting to win, you are likely to spend most of the time very disappointed. You have to remember that with every comp you enter, the odds are against you winning. The popular ones have thousands of entries. Even the least popular ones, say ones that are local, and take quite a bit of effort, even those will have several entries, so the odds are always against you winning.
As I have said before here, winning is fabulous, but what I do this for is for that ongoing hope of winning. It's about the excitement every time I check emails, answer the phone and see the postie coming my way. And when I see a courier van driving down my road, who knows what could be about to happen? That's what it's about for me. It's why I love doing this comping thing. If it was only about the actual wins, I wouldn't enjoy it anywhere near as much.
Hope you win soon, but even more, hope you can enjoy it more when you don't win. When the postie walks passed - just remind yourself that who knows what s/he might deliver tomorrow

Hiya
I do also get that excitement :rotfl:
I guess when I comped before (around xmas) I won a fair bit; £250 cheque, £50 bella italia card, teddys, drinks, creams etc.. and I only comped for a month then. But i guess that was around Christmas
My time will come I hope.
Good luck all x0 -
You have to believe you will win. Think I will be lucky and I will win these things. Write a 'win board' or stuff you really want and enter those whilst searching for them.
Believe. That's all I do.x

Hi SandA - Hope you win soon! I think we are all in the same sinking boat though. I have been comping for a few years now and the number comps I enter daily hasn't really changed though my wins have gone down.
I think the number of compers is rising so our chances are fallingAll we can all do is keep calm and comp on and remember that we have to be in it to win it!
:TA big thanks to all who post and sprinkling lucky dust to all who enter :smileyhea0 -
I don't think I'm unlucky by any means but I learned long ago not to visit the IWIWIW board as there are some forum members on here who win so much each month that it just makes you feel bad reading about it.
Last month for me was absolutely amazing as I finally won the iPhone that I've spent 5 years comping for! I also won a Kindle HD on the Douwe Egberts comp.
However, the couple of months before that, I didn't even hit £50 worth of prizes so it really is swings and roundabouts. You need to try to keep positive during the dry spells and just keep on entering.
Good luck!Living with Lupus is like juggling with butterflies0 -
Look at my wins for last year in my signature. Now for my wins for this year.......hardly anything worth writing about.
I have been comping since 2004 and 2013 has been my worst ever year. I consider myself to be really lucky in previous years as I have won some fabulous prizes and some big prizes with 2012 being my best ever year.
Yep just a handful of prizes this year and I have probably entered more this year as I now have a different routine for comping which I think is much more organised but not bringing me any bloomin luck!
It really is the luck of the draw and nothing else. I keep at it and like others say get the thrill of emails, postie, couriers etc. Just wish they would pay me back a visit please! :A
