I watch the latest Jamie when I get the time
I haven't bought the book and sadly I didn't win one from MSE either

anyway, one episode, he visited a girl who chucked away loads of fruit and showed her various things to do to avoid waste

memory not what is used to be :( so would appreciate your help:

He suggested doing single portions of smoothie mix and freezing them- excellent idea as sometimes I fancy making one but CBA doing the prep. But preparing the indiv portions, I think is an excellent idea.

Only problem I cant remember with the ginger and the oats how much he used per portion. other than fruit he put in honey , oats , yoghurt and ginger? It sounded delicious . Have I missed anything?

what did he do with mangoes?

Can anyone who has a better memory than me, please advise amounts per portion, and recipes for smoothies and the mango please

  • calling a meal 1.90 odd really cheap when feeding 10 people is crazy. that's a pricy meal for me. cooking something for 4 hours in the oven is also expensive. condescending tool.
  • Cooking two things in the oven at once saves money, wow thanks for that gem i would have never guessed.

the average family throws away 648 pounds of food a year?! that maybe true for the waitrose types, but last time i threw anything away was half a lemon that had gone moldy a month ago, cost me about 9p in waste that im still a bit annoyed about.
