Ask him to write a letter giving them his new address at his girlfriends since that is where he mostly stays.

I think he stays with friends (previous post) and that the suspicion was the EX reported them.

Paperwork is only part of this OP. my bills are all in my name as my husband is pretty useless at this part of life and so it's easier for me to pay bills.

You have to understand why they are doing this, I have noted some discrepancies purely on what is said on here, and I actually believe you when you say he doesn't live 100% with you, although it sounds like you'd like to be with him and there is still a lot of love.

You say he doesn't pay you money as he has none. What would you claim as a couple (24 hours work between employment and self employment) to get Tax Credits. If his income is as low as you say then chances are you'd be better off together in which case this could be used as evidence as its pointless being a benefit cheat if you get Less money. Can you work this out?

I know nothing about interviews but with any crime motivation needs to be there, and if you get less money then no one would claim single to get less money.

  • In the deleted first post OP stated that he is staying at his current girlfriends most of the time but occasionally goes to his mums where he also has some correspondence go.

In other posts she states its friends he lives with, I read that he used to live previously with his girlfriend (now ex) and that is who she believed reported. That is why she cannot give an address as he sofa surfs with various friends and is of no fixed abode.

No you have misunderstood. In the first post she said he stays at girlfriends most of the time and his mums occasionally. The Ex is a previous girlfriend before OP who he also has a child with. The OP told them yesterday that he sofa surfs with friends and family but did not tell them about the new girlfriend.

  • Housing Benefit Officer...have you not read anything I have typed the last few days? Why do you keep asking why I'm worried?

Coz I have no proof or evidence in my defence! On paper it looks like he's living here. I have no proof of another address for him. Therefore everything points to me being guilty, and it's only my word. And lets think whether they are going to believe me?

So why am I so worried if I'm innocent? You're right! I've got absolutely nothing to worry about. I'm an honest person and the dwp are bound to believe me and take my word for it, as they are so understanding about people's situations.

Infact, I'm sure a letter of apology is winging its way to me as I type.

And as I have absolutely nothing to worry about, I will make this my final word on this thread. It doesn't even need discussing anymore.

As your first post is deleted I can't check, but didn't you say he spent some time with his parents and the rest at his new girlfriends home?

I'm not sure either, why you are so worried about him. It was his responsibility to chance the address for work/dvla etc and he will have to take the consequences (if there are any) - are you prepared to risk your daughter's and your own security to cover for him?

I hope you're not serious, there's no need to apologise to someone for being investigated.

    Thanks
So obviously, I have some real concerns now....as he may have been seen here
regularly at my house, his mail is still registered here, and unfortunately he
can't provide mail in any other address.

Does he not have ANY correspondence going elsewhere. If your daughter is 14 months old and you split while pregnant then that is plenty of time to have had some sort of correspondence going elsewhere surely? Is he still on the electoral register?

    What does that mean?

Is it that the state through its agencies has carte blanche to do whatever it wants and citizens should have no expectations about privacy?

Assange and Snowden are fugitives for daring to tell us of how committed governments are to monitoring their populations. Few, if any, are more dedicated than the UK's is.

I believe they meant the only person who should apologising is the ex - who blatantly put her in this position and still won't help her by providing an address, over those that investigate as per their job where there is overwhelming evidence.

Do you think the state should never ask any questions?
