Oh well done Alex - it must have taken a lot of guts and confidence to walk into that room of strange kids - so a huge pat on the back form me.

Now we have confirmation that you really are 'well posh' Alex!!

I wasn't really allowed to "be" a child, everything was serious and a competition. My parents were always working, they did make time for me but only if I was going to act "like a grown up".

See that wasn't really perfect now was it?

Hopefully you can enjoy reliving a happier childhood with your son - and you can both benefit from it.

  • I work with the kind of kids you faced today. Most people would be terrified of facing that. Respect. Channel Sherlock. Or doctor who. They can probably deal with that. You could be very cool in a kind of strange way

Oh gosh, Alex, I wish you could read what we are reading...:(

My BiL took his own life, leaving two young children :( please do not do that to little K.

I have a colleague who turns up looking like he is going on a shoot :rotfl:.
I wanna be in the room where it happens

Well done Alex! Volunteering using your gift to help others! Great!
Money is just money, it's a tool... Money will always follow those who follow their heart's passion!

I bet some children thought you were 'dead boring' ha ha ha !

Yep, some were difficult. One got sent to the Headmaster, or whoever they go to see. :o

I'm sorry to hear that and absolutely would not do that to my son, I know he needs me to be there for him and if I chose the alternative to life, I'd mess his up in the process. He's worth more to me than that, no matter what I think about myself, I always have a smile for him.

I ought not confess I rather like a bit of wax and tweed. ;)

Got plenty, as for a fancy scarf, how does a day cravat strike you, instead? ;)

All I meant was that I, and I am sure others, are reading about a generally kind, giving man, loving husband, devoted son and father (not necessarily in that order ;)) who, yes, does have some preconceived ideas about people and is maybe rather too vocal about them, but is working so hard at overcoming them. You've taken a right old bashing on here over and over and still post and still try.

Who was it who said "it doesn't matter how many times you fall, what matters is how many times you stand up, shake it off and move forward"?

I think you are seeing someone who is a failure because of the perceived lack of things :(. That makes me so sad.
