Glad your dad is looking better :T.

Dinner sounds lovely - but didn't you have a roast at parents? In which case supper should have been beans on toast (or maybe cheesy beans on toast as its Sunday :rotfl:)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

    So am I. :)

Yes, we had roast at parents. I *hate* beans on toast with a passion, besides we only had a small dinner (portion for two between three). Usually, we have some toasted olive bread with smoked salmon or salami (if we're feeling particularly poor) and cream cheese. Or cheese and crackers.

It was really good to see him well and in high spirits. :)

Yes, slowly at the moment but in the right direction, for once.

:rotfl: Once a week is QUITE enough.

  • Gosh, salami and olive bread if you're feeling poor. How terrible. ;)

Glad to hear you in good spirits though - and GREAT news about your dad!

The trick with presents is to get a 100 pounds worth of presents for less money than this. So have a look at the grabbit board on here, and hotdeals.co.uk to see where you can get stuff on the cheap. That way you still have nice presents, they just don't cost a fortune.

Seriously, thank you. Father seemed just as well today, I really hope this is finally a good sign. :)

We will absolutely do this with our son but it's unfortunately just not going to happen with my parents. However, I have spoken to them today and did let slip that I was in debt (again). They were disappointed until my wife told them how I am sorting things out and how much money I've raised in less than three months. My point was that they said they'd be happy with just something between them this year for Christmas and I think they meant it.

    Monday 11th November, 2013.
    Day 72.

    Dear Diary,

I wasn't joking when I declared today would be "just another manic Monday" as I haven't stopped since 10 O'clock this morning. Apologies for a short and perhaps incoherent update.

Work has been busy and tiring considering I yet again did not get a decent night's sleep. Oh, and as I said in my previous post, my parents have found out that I owe money. However, the conversation was not like the last one I had with them in similar circumstances and I refused to take any of their money. What began negatively, ended positively.

On the debt busting front I have been too busy to do anything. However, we did not give in to any type of take away or meal out, instead we made a pizza. Admittedly, the base was not homemade though we did the topping ourselves.

    Summary:
    +£25.00 Music Teaching.
    -£36.00 Groceries.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Alex.
