Day 70.
Dear Diary,
Today has seen Mrs. K., our son and I take to the roads and become a four car family! In order to prevent us from keeping the project, we used money from out of the business to buy it and will give the business back a bit of extra cash once the sale goes through as a thank you. Buying the roadster made Mrs. K.'s day as she'll be able to "drive it over winter wrapped up warm, roof down ... Just like old times!" before we sell it on and buy another; the man we bought it off said she must be crazy. Neither of us disagreed.
Homemade lasagne was made for dinner tonight, alongside a conversation on how to say the word. Apparently, it's "la-san-ya", not "lasarrn-yer", so whose right? I'm fairly certain I am, so shall claim victory when the rest of MSE tell my wife she is wrong!
On the debt busting front, unfortunately, we have made no progress due to the car buying. Tomorrow looks to be more of the same as we take to the roads again to buy some furniture.
Summary:
Not counting the car as it's not come out of our everyday "pot", not the debt savings.
-£16.00 Groceries.

About the slow cooker - it really isn't that different from shoving things in the cool oven of the Aga for hours - only without the expense of the Aga!
I think you are right ... However, when I'm feeling under the weather, I can't dare to tell myself that, never mind listen to somebody else!
My parents have an Aga, so I shall have to ask them for some recipes / tips.2018 totals:

:hello:
It's definitely La_san_ya. Trust me, Io parlo Italiano un po
Been awol but dropping in when I can to catch up as my mother has been seriously ill in hospital the past 10 days.
Was all a bit touch and go a few days back but think we are coming out the other side now.
The buying/doing up/ selling of things (cars in your case) is good middle ground in dealing with the 'I work hard so I am worth it' compulsive shopping thingy so you can get the buzz of the purchase, the satisfaction of the 'doing up', enjoy it for a while....and let it go for a cash profit.:)0 -

Nooooooooo, you can't tell her that! :rotfl: Can being British be my excuse? I think you said you speak a little Italian?
I'm very sorry to hear about your mother and hope she continues to recover well. I presume your parents must be about the same age as mine or a little older?
We both got a bit of a buzz out of buying the car. However, on the way back from seeing the car my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday and for the first time ever, I said I was unsure and not particularly worried. It seems I'm growing up. :eek:2018 totals:
