Not in love after a year....

At least you know where you stand now, and that you wanted different things.
Try not to be angry about it though; you can't force yourself to love someone, even if in theory they are a perfect match for you and you want to. I've been there on the other side, seeing someone who I kept thinking 'why can't I fall in love with him' but it just didn't happen. Mind you, didn't keep it up for a year. But perhaps he just thought you were happy enough in a more casual thing too.
Appreciate what was good about this relationship, it just wasn't meant to be.[STRIKE][/STRIKE]I am a long term poster using an alter ego for debts and anything where I might mention relationship problems or ex. Well I finally summoned the guts to bring it up again last night. Upshot is - he doesn't love me (just loves spending time with me ) and is not sure he ever will. He also can't see us ever moving in together.
So it's over.
Hugs. But you are now free to look for an amazing man that will be in love with you, and utter those 3 important words. You'll find him0 -
He does respect you enough to be honest with you, so that is good.
Well done for your courage, it can't have been easy.
You will find someone who is able to love you. And it will feel so magical.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
