Back from lovely weekend in the lake district. Booked before i started the mortgage push and so that is the last of the spends before battening down the hatches.... well ...almost;)

Whilst in the lake district we saw a rather nice Fell pony for sale and Mr W thinks I should buy him. Now he is aware I am having huge confidence issues at the moment with my riding so I think buying another horse is maybe not ideal, but, Mr W most taken with the little chap and is suggesting having a more sensible horse than baby might help my confidence issues. So, I rode the little chap and I walked trotted and cantered him on my own in their riding arena (having sent all watching adults away) and did so very well without major meltdowns. Now it has been a long time since I've done that!

Also hacked the little boy but as the light was failing we only went a couple of mins down road and back - but - he wandered past road signs, temporary traffic lights and took zero notice of cars whizzing past him on a fairly busy road. Very very nosey though and my steering nearly failed as he wanted to wander up someones drive .. but ...again I didn't have a meltdown.

So I am wondering if maybe Mr Watty has actually had a sensible idea???

Back home and at desk today to make up having done no work since Thursday. Busy busy. Just tidying desk. Finance news have bought 50 bales of bedding for winter and written cheque for bottled gas ...£119  for 2 bottles of gas. No wonder we try not to use the heating!

Our baby is only being asked to jump 1' max with DD. However she likes to err on the side of caution and jump 3'. DD has just got used to it. She also went for an hours hack today looking at her feet for the whole time because there was water on the road.
    When do they grow up??

Sometimes never:rotfl: My previous boy and the one with whom I had the accident that caused me to be such a wreck was more of a dumpling at 18 than he was at 7! Just wait till DD actually asks her to jump 3'. She may well reach the moon! My previous chappie firmly believed all jumps should be cleared regardless of size, was happy to jump the wings if he had to(I never once suggested that :rotfl:) and flatly refused to ever consider a wall - even when the wall was just 1' off the ground. And people wondered why I gave up jumping:cool:

Mr Watty decided to fix the bathroom tap in the ensuite and knocked over a bottle of blue nail varnish ... eeek!! He did clear up, and very nicely did not mention the cupboard is "stuffed" with stuff but it has prompted me to plan to clear the bathroom today.

A lot of the stuff is products I have been sent samples off to review and I think a clear up and a streamlined approach is needed. I've often thought I could ebay the stuff but I'm not sure someone would really want products that have been opened and had a splurge taken out of to try. And, it really would be wrong to write the review without trying the stuff:A

Getting the finances in order is making me think about other areas of clutter that could be streamlined too!

So whilst *working* today I will filter in a little time to tackle the bathroom cupboards. Also taking baby out for a hack with 2 neighbours later. Hope that goes ok. He has never been out with more than one other horse........

I am sure I could never work for anyone else:rotfl:After years of self employment I'm far too used to adjusting the working hours!! :)

Lovely hack with the neighbours. Baby got enthusiastic and thought he could keep up with the big horse who we have never met before and jogged a bit - but - I coped really well. YAY !! I am improving. And he was a star! He went past someone working with a chainsaw and a couple of other things that could have been scary like a little pro.

Plus, I am getting to know a couple of people locally which I am thrilled about as I have been a bit lonely living here if I am honest. So it is really really nice to. :)

Have cleared out the bathroom and ensuite cupboards. All a bit scary: 9 tubs of moisturiser, 5 tubs of body lotion, 2 bottles of some kind of body oil and lots of other *stuff*. I tried out one of the moisturisers and it made my face feel sticky (I remember writing that in the review) but it is a very expensive one so I've taken pics and am putting that on ebay. I'm also going to list a couple of the other tubs as they are expensive brands and I hated them! I was of course more diplomatic in my review :rotfl:but someone might like them even though I've splurged a bit out. The stuff I like I've put in a cupboard and must remember to check there before buying anything in future.

And I have a very nice pile of serums and cleansers and shampoos and other pots of stuff to use up over the next few weeks. Plus a small collection of mini pots for travel too. The funny thing is that until a couple of years ago I never used much 'product' and still dont so I suspect these pots will last an age. I am resolved though that if I dont like it to throw it away this time and not just use up old faves! It crossed my mind to start a blog reviewing all this stuff but I'm not sure how to actually go about that. Will think on - but - now must really really do some work to ensure some money comes in!

  • Well done Watty, great progress with the pony, and even better with tidying copboards, I have got sooooo much stuff. I'm having to sneak new bottles in now as Mr F has gotten wise to my habits and is now insisting I finish the old stuff. Snot fun when new shiney products are on sale!!

Lovely day.:) The sun shone which always makes me happy and I had a fantastic lunge lesson. I was made to do lots of cantering without stirrups and with stirrups and my confidence level is improving. I felt so happy leaving the place. So much so that I've booked someone from their to come out to teach me on baby tomorrow. Not sure what she will be like - but - the lass who has been doing the bargin lunge lessons has been lovely.

Then back home to actually do some work.

Plus have listed stuff on ebay and some shares have paid a £78.56 dividend which is a lovely bonus :) The shares are on the list to be sold as soon as we can repay without penalties - but - the dividend was a nice suprise in the meantime.
