Actually no! Now I do easily get dizzy when lunging but not when being lunged. And it is fabulous for improving position. I've now been back for another one and we've identifed where I tend to hunch up so we are going to work on lots of canter transitions. I'm actually really enjoying them.
The lovely lass who runs the office kept telling me yesterday that they have lots of really nice horses and wouldn't I like a nice lesson on a dressage schoolmaster. Errr...no ...I'm happy with what I'm doing. Bless her. She didnt really get it!!
But I think the lunge lessons are great for improving position and hopefully confidence.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Just catching up here. Went away last Friday for work to a conference I organised. Didn't make any money but did have a very nice time. Back Tuesday and phew...work very busy. But, have managed a nice gentle hack with the neighbour and a lunge lesson. This explains why I am so behind with work :rotfl:
Used EchoDelta's fab technique to multiply everything by 3 to see if I really want it. I have no idea if this actually applies to my mortgage payments but it feels about right and as a result whilst away I spent only on food and purchased an advent calender and an advent candle. Fab money saving technique:T
Tried out an Australian Stock Saddle today. Love it. But..it comes in at £1500 and I rode in an arena and had 2 confidence wobbles today whilst riding in it. So, I learnt it was not an instant fix. Although I was incredible safe and secure when baby suddenly realised there was a pole in the arena with him and did humungous leap. I just told him he was a silly sod. Had I not had the wobbles then I might well have been tempted ...but.. if it isn't going to fix the confidence issues then I'm going to save the money thus savings pot remains intact for next mortgage overpayment......which I can make in just under 4 weeks time without penalty. Saddler was lovely and said just to think it over and make sure I really really wanted one before buying and that it was right for me. So, I now know I like the saddle, it fits the pony, but, I'm not so sure it is right for me at this moment in time (but it might be when we are mortgage free !!)
And i am totally excited about that :rotfl:And I know folk here will get that!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Today I really must get the office work under some kind of control! I'm feeling overwhelmed with work. Its 10.00 am and at least the house is tidy and on its way to being cleaned. The plan is by 5 pm to have a tidy house, a tidy yard and all work done!! (Gulp)Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Ha ha - scary post in the middle of the school eh!! Horses are sooo silly! Mine has done 2 beautiful spins with me the last 2 days (he's never done it before but clearly wants to keep me on my toes!). Once because of some steam coming out of a vent and one because of a bale of hay - I mean he's obviously never seen hay before in his 20 years so it must have been well scaryMortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k

Oh my word where did the last 5 days go?? Well lets see, I went off to a convention with 2 pals. Booked before i started this mortgage free wannabe stuff.
Weekend was fun - but - way hotter than I expected and ended up "having" to buy a T-Shirt to wear as was sweltering. Who would have thought an indoor riding school could be so hot!! Hotel refused to allow the 3 of us to share a family room - saying fire regulations - which seemed daft as 3 females would certainly get out quicker than 2 adults and a relunctant toddler but hey ho. Luckily we managed to book an extra single room but that cost each of us £10 more for the night.
And then back home to lots of work. Shall not complain because hopefully will mean I will have a profitable month this month which is all the more for the pot!!
Most exciting of all. Yesterday I had another lunge lesson - and - :j - I did a couple of canter transitions without panic. So happy that I hugged the instructor at the end. Clearly these lunge lessons are helping.:jMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Checked and reconciled bank statement. No suprises there but may have a bit of cash can move into savings pot after weekend. Will leave it to after weekend as we are planning a fun weekend and I want to be sure of having the cash if I need it.
Excitingly I realised that the mortgage has gone from £888.99 at the start of this journey to £798.56. Thats just over £90 a month chopped off the re-payments! :jMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
