Thanks Echodelta, Habibiboo and Elantan. Nope Hibb we don't even have one pair of good hands between us as my other arm underperforms as a legacy from a major accident a few years ago. Gotta laugh really tho blooming unfair in my mind that it is a tendon in right hand that is damaged. If only it were the other one, I'm used to that not working properly :rotfl:
Just back from minor accident unit where took Mr Watty to get his dressings changed and had leg looked at as is still the size of a tree trunk. All good though - neither of us have any major damage.
Gardener is lovely Floppy - but - even more lovely are the results. So happy with it.:jMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

How did u get pony to load in the end ? Mine won't load even with hours of practice!
Kept trying. Took him away from lorry and made him walk up and down drive which he hates. Did lots of work on body language and stopping when I stopped and walking when I did - which is very good at anyway. Then walked lots of circles round and round by ramp and then up ramp and off again till he was fed up with that. Then when all that failed and I was totally fed up Mr Watty lunged him for 25 mins and then we started all over again. I had just about given up and asked a friend to turn up with her trailer intending to spend the day on trailer loading rather than go to show when he walked in.
Walked him off, and he loaded straight away again. At show he thought for a moment and Mr Watty slapped him on bum with the flat of his hand and he walked in.
Honestly LauraJo I'm no expert on loading. My last horse was a total sod and never loaded for me. I had a pal at the time who could load him and Mr Watty could sometimes. With that horse I tried just about everything, alternative horse trainers, horse whisperers, lunge lines, sticks, threats of violence and treats. None of it worked. Little git loaded when he felt like it and when he didn't feel like it, didnt. Right at the end of his life I found a lorry he liked and most times he would walk into that first time but by then I'd given up wanting to take him anyway. There was just no fun in taking a horse out that wouldn't load.
A friend is bringing her trailer over on Saturday and we are going to do trailer loading practice with baby and then just go for a hack. (she is bringing her boy over too). Will report back how that goes!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I am a meanie. Ponyplops is out all the time.
Laurajo if you have a trailer can you do all feeding it? Might be easier said than done in livery.
First time I loaded ponyplops I walked her up the ramp 99 times and she loaded on the hundredth.0 -
I had to load my horse as part of A level PE, needless to say she preferred the idea of me failing!Mortgage Apr 18 £417,894 BTL Mar 18 £162,857

A level PE ? Including loading a horse? Wow!
Lovely day. Friend bought her horse over in her single horse trailer with another friend. And they bought yummy lunch of bread cold meats salad and cheese. We ate whilst her horse munched grass in spare field and then Most Handsome Gelding got to practice loading. 12.5 mins and was in trailer. 2nd and 3rd times walked straight in. Good boy :T
Then friend without horse rode elderly fell, and we took all 3 horses for a walk round lanes. Nice day. Baby beautifully behaved as the other two dawdled along behind him and he really showed how far he has come since start of MFW diary - well his progress is linked with the falling mortgageMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Oh my I'd have given up counting round about 29!! And no, you are not a meanie - mine could stay out but if at 26 elderly fell wants to come in at night -and he does love his stable - I kinda think he can
And it is very good for Mr Handsome's weight to have some time off the grassMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Accupuncture session on hand yesterday and the lovely lady did not charge me because she could see the accupuncture was not helping so thats the end of that trial. Back to smothering with pain relieving gel.
Decluttering seems to have come to a bit of a halt although did give away 3 bags of grass seed that seemed to have passed its prime (54) and found 2 packets of sunflower seeds which will plant to hopefully provide cut flowers for house (55/365) and ordered a clip to repair a piece of equipment rather than throwing equipment away and buying new (56/365)
Also chased company that are supposed to be paying for a builder to fix wall that their lorry knocked over. That would also remove bricks and sand etc from barn. Happened in Feb. Wish they would get on with it!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
