Exhausted after busy weekend. Have continued clearing/tidying shed in which rugs, horsey stuff, garden stuff and misc clutter stored plus weeded strawberry patch, apple trees and some of garden. Haven't counted declutter till done.
Finally dawned on me the strip of garden by the back drive is actually the size of most folks gardens. No wonder this place takes me so long to get through. Seriously considering getting a gardener in one day a month. It would cost me £120 but he would get through the stuff quicker than me and I'm struggling to do the work.
Would rather play poniesMonday and am back in office.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Watty, you could do with a horticulture student who likes hard work male or female who will do it for a beer and a dinner. If you find one I will be v jelous.
Alternatively, do you have any university students willing to do a working party, grants are not what they used to be and you could supervise and feed at the end Lgp xMortgage value was £135,000 now £43,218

Dear me I could not let Mr Watty loose in the garden. He likes looking at it but left to his own ends would probably cover it with a membrane and tip type 1 loose stones all over it. Cheap yes eeekkk:eek:
I did think of an agriculture student little green peas as there is a great agric college nearby but Mr Watty says I can't let a student loose with things like strimmers and so on ..though maybe he is thinking along the same lines of Floppy and doesnt want that hot young student about :rotfl:

Hey Watty,
It sounds like you have been doing lots - yes it sounds like a good idea to get help with the garden - i find it hard managing ours and its tiny really - the weeds seem to flourish thoughI do enjoy doing it / how it looks after but it does take alot of time/work.

Hi Watty
How you doing? Just having a catch up! RDA sounds good - bet its very satisfying.
In terms of your garden issue could you offer the patch to a neighbour? We have given one of our neighbours access to a bit of our garden (she has a small garden) to grow veg. Our pay back is 1/3 of the veg she grows. We get veg, she gets veg and the garden is looked after - win win!Mortgage starting balance 2011 ... £170k today £1.5k

Hi Dedicated (waves) and nice idea Laura Jo but everyone round here as big gardens too. The veg patch was originally a shared project but was just too much for the person doing it so I planted it up with baby apple trees instead. Looks lovely
Just back from gorgeous ride with neighbour. Crossed over motorway bridge and high speed railway. Wondered what the noise was on motorway and then realised it was a train going under us on railway. Baby so good. And I was gossiping and didnt mind either. :j Neighbour has become brillant riding pal and helped my confidence no end.
Loved riding in the sun and seeing cute lambs in field. A day when I feel very lucky with my lotMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
