Drumroll: the car is fixed :jMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!0 -
Good stuff! I must admit, I cheat on pastry - I use a crumble whenever I can :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Well done on the cooking and the clothes and the car. I've not mastered quiche yet so I'm impressed, I make a mean chocolate brownie though0

Quiche sounds good, do you have a recipe?
Glad to hear your car is back on the road.2018 totals:

The car is grateful for all the well-wishers on hereHavent actually chanced driving it yet in case there is something else up. Saving that for the weekend.

In financial news I got an email from nectar - was about to bin it when I checked my points - I linked a business account to the scheme and discovered I have just shy of £200 worth of points. This has been building up for some time.
If only there was something I wanted to buy! All this decluttering means there isn't much I actually want that is available from ArgOs which seems the only place I can spend the points!Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Can't you just use the nectar points for buying groceries at Sainsburys?Mortgage - £105,5000 -
Will have to look it up (quiche).
No idea what it'll turn out like with me having ... probably into a joint effort between my wife and I. :rotfl:
You can indeed use Nectar in Sainsburys. In true tight northerner style, we use our Nectar points to buy food for Christmas food hampers which we send to in-laws etc as gifts. Probably sounds a rather rubbish gift but they are the type of people who won't have a piece of chocolate all year, so it seems to work very well.2018 totals:

The food is probably the best plan but I will be nice to Mr Watty first. A quick check of the website means I am going to ask Mr Watty if he would like to replace the upstairs TV. I never watched it so happily used it for the CCTV system but Mr Watty did. He has never minded, but, if we can replace it for free it might be a nice gesture on my part to find out if he would like to (especially as we have just over £300, I made a mistake on earlier post).
I think food is the best plan as I could just switch that money to the overpayment pot - but - it is a bonus freebie as it were and I will be nice firstMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Definitely the food - that was a great job to link the business account, by the way - just shows how this builds up2023: the year I get to buy a car0
