thank you Lady Gnome and KC.
Most Handsome would not agree on progressYesterday evening was time for the group lesson and Most Handsome refused to go on lorry. He did in end and we could just have made it but Mr Watty was none too keen, instead we drove around the block to friends house, unloaded him, let him eat an apple and then re-boxed him (took 10 mins) then drove home.
Totally fed up we then put him and FoggyFell back in field and went for a CostaCoffee to cheer ourselves up. Saved £15 on lesson but spent around half that on coffee !
This morning Most Handsome nearly knocked Mr Watty over in his enthusiasm to be loaded. Am now baffled by this loading lark.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

And on financial news went to the supermarket. We have been just shopping locally and using the freezer but today I finally gave in and went to the supermarket. £55 spent. Wont' be going there in a hurry again :rotfl:Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

:rotfl: I too try to avoid supermarkets but not due to cost as for many items they are cheaper. However, it's easy to spend money on things you didn't intend to buy (from supermarkets), isn't it?2018 totals:

Have been supporting a lovely farm shop close by however, lots of the stuff is grown on site or locally sourced and is an excellent shop. And we've just got a new store in the village which is good for the essentials not supplied by farm store.
Freezer inventory done. The challenge is now to eat out of the freezer for a while.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Morning Watty,
I love reading your posts, you really do inspire me without realising so thank you
I agree re. the supermarkets. Last time I went into one, I spent nearly £100 and honestly couldn't tell you what on. We shop at the butchers and market now, nipping into the small local co-op for bits that I can't get in those places. Our spends are much lower now, around £40 a week for our family of 4, including nappies for DS.
We are also on freezer use up - Arctic Roll anyone?:rotfl:
Have a lovely day xMFW

Aww bless youThank you for saying that.
Am surprised how much we cut our food bill just shopping in farm shop and butchers.
Having reviewed my shopping of yesterday I realise that "veg for tea" was seduced by store packing to buy some very lovely steamer packs of prepped veggies and "fish" was seduced into some very nice sea bass fillets with chilli. Like I couldn't chop a chilli and lemon and squeeze over myself :rotfl:Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Excited it is the 1st of the month. Can make overpayment today - except the building society is closed weekends. Still today started process of registering so can look at account on line and will sort out accounts so the money for the first overpayment is in account ready for 8.00 am Monday morning.
Sad how excited this has made me :jMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

For me, it's just the same, even though I am on online banking. Mortgage figure went x!?xx!!, which means it went up even though, no movement either way. Have to wait to Monday maybe even Tuesday to see mortgage payment register with online mortgage account, and figures should sort themselves out. Then I can set to it, aiming for as many knots
as I can.
Only noticed because I make my account with as many 000.00 at the end, probably would not have noticed, had I not. Who would honestly notice around £36.87 being added onto their mortgage, knowing that nothing had been added on or taken off !?! when the figures are just a mix.
Doing good, keep plodding away.:T
Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
