Finally back on here. Goodness knows where the days are going at the moment. Am now off to have a read up on everyone's news.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Update time. Finally saved over 10% of required £50,000. Mr Watty somewhat astounded when he heard this was the target for the year - he asked if I really could save that in a year. Well no, I admitted but no point in not aiming high. My spending is fairly non existent and I am selling what I can as I clear bits out. Still aiming to KonMarie the house by the end of the year too!
Kitty still visiting. She has just gone out for the last of the afternoon sun. She really is a joy.
Shoulder still bad. But this is a long term issue so no real news there.
Finally the horsebox needs its brakes "seeing to" and all the loading practice with Most Handsome has damaged the ramp. He now loads beautifully but the ramp has suffered. Now getting quotes for fixing both.
Am leaving money in company for the moment. Finally paid off the loan from earlier but so much less stressful to just have money there to pay bills and stock rather than the constant juggle I was facing.
The target may be large but I do think financial independence is just over the horizonMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Well done on reaching 10% so quickly.
All sounds positive aside from the shoulder and the horsebox repairs - hope the quotes are reasonable.

Fantastic stuff :T. FI is so close you can almost smell it.............. or is that Most Handsome :rotfl:.A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
Mortgage Balance = £0

Great news, Watty! And I'm glad you're giving yourself a bit of leeway with leaving money in the company. No point burning out.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks for the cheerleading. Love this board for that
Mr Watty explaining the physics of line drying. Apparently it is an old wives tale that the washing will dry better with a pole propping the line up.
Errr no I'm really sure it will dry better - can we just use the pole please???Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

A prop is essential
the washing catches more of the wind, meaning more evaporative drying is going on
and it relieves the stress on the two end poles - meaning you don't have to hammer the Wilko-bought stakes into the ground as often
