Oh dear indeed
All washed, ironed and put away. Thought about buying some of those cute smelly bags to hang in wardrobe but am not spending on fripperies so that thought only lasted nano seconds. Wardrobe looks very organised.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

Do you have any lavender growing in your garden? If so, put some of the flower heads in a bag/ square of muslin (I use those pretty little voile(?) bags you get gifts/ jewellery in)

Home grown lovely smellies are a different matter - I hope to do something like that myself ... I always get confused about when to do it, though, because I want the bees to be able to get the nectar and the pollen before I nab the flower for myself!2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Most Handsome met a professional rider today - she breaks in ponies and said she would be happy to help. Lovely lady who said Most Handsome had lost a lot of confidence and was really confused about what was wanted from his rider. Bless him. He can go back to being Most Handsome Baby for now
She is coming back tomorrow.

I can't really join in the horsey stuff, as I'm completely ignorant, but I *am* fascinated ... it'd be great if Most Handsom were to regain his confidence2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Lovely professional rider turned up again today - and - Handsome Baby still most confused about things but by the end of the session was managing some very nice work. Delighted with his progress in just 2 session. Really think that having her school him is going to help him get his confidence back and know what to do :j She will be back next week.
Now time for me to go to work and earn something to pay for herMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

I must be mad, completely mad! Have spent the last couple of days reading the entire thread....I don't even have a mortgage (in rented).
Love your thread Watty, took me down some lovely childhood girly dreams as when I was little, I always wanted a horse. Unfortunately, I was also into ballet and my parent's wages (and overdraft!), was spent on pursuing that....don't think people realise just how expensive that particular 'hobby' can be, my parents certainly didn't when they signed me up for it as a 4 year old! :rotfl:
I did get to do part of my dream and cajoled/nagged etc my parents into paying for some riding lessons when I was 11 on a special reduced cost scheme the school was doing in conjunction with the local stables...I loved it but ballet was my first love and my career plan. However, I kept on with riding as and when I could, heck, I even suffered my second slipped disc on a ride (the first was playing with the dog on the floor when I was 15).
Alas, my riding days came to an end in my early 30's (the ballet dream ended in my late teens because of the back issues - arthritis in my lower spine and crumbling discs) as the nearby stables and a place we visited both closed and of course, children, their demands and my failing mobility took over.
I still took joy in watching horses go by my house everyday though (we are semi rural) but even this joy has gone in the last year, think the other stables in the next village must have gone too as we now rarely have them come past the house.
Blimey, I am wittering on here.....
Anyway, despite not having a mortgage to clear or even having the option to have a mortgage in the future, I still benefit from reading these diaries. The amount of tips I pick up and use from both here and DFW, is quite astounding....plus it makes me feel good, it is so nice to see how well people are doing, how determined they are, how much joy they are getting from seeing the figures tumble.
I now do a Tilly tidy, not to do overpayments on a mortgage but to put bits of bobs of money into a saving jar at the end of the day, came in blooming handy about 8 weeks ago when all four tyres needed replacing and tracking done on the car, would really have been up *insert naughty word* creek without my Tilly Tidy pot. It's not a huge amount that is put in there, just some of the annoying loose change hanging around in my purse....confused the life out of the boys though when I started saying "Ooh, must remember to do my Tilly tidy".....one of our late departed cats was called Ti-ah which we had 'shortened' to Tilly. They thought I was talking about the cat! :rotfl:
I've also organised the finances a little better rather, shuffling things around to make sure things are paid or to make my (admittedly meagre) money work better for us.
Anyway, enough of my droning on....I look forward to the day when your sig is updated with a big fat £0 left to pay on it!We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
