May be worth a try, but if his full income hasn't been going through the account they'll quite understandably want proof of income.

No offence to other users - Please stick to the question no more opening things up,integration etc just a simple answer yes or no or even if someone has had experience in obtaining a loan without proof etc

OK, since you put it like that, no, I don't know of any who do.

Why cant your friend renew the passport now and then apply for a loan. Is there any money in his bank account ?

No loan company is going to lend the 7.5k with no ID.

No idea why people are saying you can't get a loan without ID or wage slips. I got a loan from Nationwide the other month. Applied online, signed online, money in account two days later. Gave them no ID or proof of earnings. I don't bank with them so they didn't 'know' me either.

Of course all of the other facts presented here in this case give your 'friend' no chance in reality.

They probably found you on the voters roll, and when they did their searches probably found you had a stable address history, and excellent credit history. So they were happy to proceed without any further verification as you were deemed to be very low risk.

This doesn't happen with everyone though!

    Interesting points raised..

Friend has applied for his passport today (Fast Track) hopefully will be ready soon..

Still has wage slip problem, spoke with his work who advised him they can run off last few months wages on their computer? Its print offs A4 its not exactly wage slips but is that as acceptable?Would it have to be actual wage slips?Work also advised they will have wage slips for him by the end of the week..

I would not worry about printed A4 wage slips, many companies are paperless these day and the loan company are used to it. When I applied for my recent mortgage all my wage slips, P60, P11D and bank statements were all printed by myself at home.
