Well I am ashamed I nearly slipped off the debt clearing challenge ....... I saw a reebok treadmill reduced with over 50% off and I went up to the counter to put it on my credit card and then realised how daft I was being.
It would have been nice BUT ........... I do believe the sense of achievement and satisfaction of being debt free will give me a greater smile. So I didn't buy it.
I joined quidco and already have £45.20 tracking through quidco (hiliarys blinds visited last night so £20 of that was from them), I listed my shoes on ebay and they sold for 99p - ouch - maybe my listing day/time wasn't right.
My plan now:
to try and persuade boss to let me work a few hours on Saturday
to write to HSBC and close my bank account before I get into overdraft territory yet again
Take on some mystery shopping jobs
Do a few clicks on pigsbacks
and see what else I can sell on ebay

Dezzi - the Olympic Challenge is a 6 month challenge where you go for bronze, silver, gold or platinum (£1000,2000, 3000, or £4000) through a variety of sources, including savings you make using MSE things. Similar to this challenge, but the money can go to anything and it's slightly more long term - well worth the effort

Well done for resisting temptation :T :T0 -
Well done welshy :T :T
If you want a tredmill - ask on freecycle- theres stacks of them advertised on mine along with every bit of excercise equiipment known to man. Then when it turns into a clothes airer, you can pass it onto someone else
chop up your card welshy or freeze it at home, its so hard to get DF while you are setting yourself up to fail ! Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Thanks everyone, it was a moment of stupidity - I confessed my moment of weakness to OH who has now locked away my credit card and I do not have the key.
My office has a full equipped gym so I have decided that should I feel the need for a treadmill again just to go there and use theirs - and the best thing is it's free.

I've had an unexpected nice surprise this morning - tax rebate for £111!!!So that's boosted my total somewhat!
So I'll bank that today and swap it over to the debt account
My phone is also selling on Ebay now - although 1/2 has to go back to the person who gave me it, but it's money still!!
Hope all have a good day.

Well I don't know if any of you have seen the thread I started on giving up smoking, I gave up but caved in last week. I've started back on the non-smoking wagon today and I am going to put my 'smoking' money into my £1 challege if you don't mind. Not only will it boost my flagging moral over this challenge cos I seem to have come to a stop, but also when I gave up smoking before I didn't save the money I was using to buy fags and think that this will be a big help in keeping me off the evil weed!! Hope everyone doesn't mind?DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Hi everyone,
ugh had a rubbish day yesterday, but did my clicks and managed a survey from lightspeed (my first!) so netted 110 points which I think is £1.10. Also did a qualifying bet for Matched betting.
Today I've slept in and woke in a bad mood again. Argh! However just did my freebie bets and have come up with a profit of £28.28 so that's good. Have no get up and go though so not sure if I'll do any more.Debts - [STRIKE]£9925.64[/STRIKE] £8841.88 :T Aiming to get below £9k by the end of Oct.:D:D November aim - sub £7.5k!

I'm battling my way through some questions this morning and will get some stuff ready to list on Ebay tonight.
Have a good day everyone.
