Ladies, what's your favourite perfume at present?

Options
Just [STRIKE]nosy[/STRIKE] curious really. :D

I'm sure it will come as no surprise to some of you to find out I don't have/wear perfume :rotfl: but as part of my 'new me' plan I'm going to get some samples to see what I like then son is going to buy me some for my birthday when it comes.

I used to like D&G Light Blue (I'm not fond of 'heavy' smells iyswim).

What do you wear?

I like thierry mugler perfume but to be honest there are few perfumes I wont wear. Im not a make up/heels person really but I always have a bottle of perfume or more than one on the go. CK one is quite nice and fresh, would recommend if you dont like heavy perfumes

Also, there are more than one discount perfume shops online, will dig out one of the ones I used to use, some really good savings

Branded perfume, but they sell it at a discount
  • I love burberry brit but its harder to get hold of than it used to be!

I went to the body shop the other week as they had 40% off and got a bottle of white musk which is VERY old school. I love it as much as I did when I was 16!!

I'm liking Jo Malone's Wild Bluebells at the moment but it's too expensive for every day! For every day I like M&S Isis which is a clone of Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey, if a bit weaker.
  • I like, and wear, Black Cashmere (Donna Karan), Allure (Chanel) and one of the new M & S ones, can't remember the name.

Paul Smith Rose just love it and everyone always asks me what it is when I wear it. Also have a penchant for Juicy Couture Viva La Juicy and like you Light Blue by D&G.

I love XS Pour Elle Paco Rabanne which I think has been discontinued I have a couple of bottles on the go but will have to find something else when it runs out. I also like Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche but more for evening that everyday. I also have some Clinique Aromatics Elixir which I like but I have to be in the mood for as it's quite heavy. and a friend bought me some Channel Number 5 for my 40th 12 years ago I don't really like it to be honest...too heavy.

Have a wander round a decent department store, sniff a few till you know what type you like and then test a couple one on each wrist, anymore and you nose gets confused. If you smell a fragrance you like on a friend or even a passer-by tell them you like it and ask what it is..

I hate flowery scents, always have. I love vanilla-based perfumes and my all time favourite is Hypnotic Poison. I have however found a new love...It's by Fragonard, a French brand that M&S (of all places!) has started stocking and it's called Grain de Soleil. I sprayed some on the other day when I was shopping, and couldn't stop sniffing myself all day...lol Beautiful! I might treat myself for my birthday. :D

I like the Calvin Klien classic CK1 for daily & work wear. I like channel no5 for my heavy musky evening out perfume (it smells a bit like sweet baby powder - which I love).
Im hankering after a bottle of Dior Portafino, its very expensive. To be honest its very similar to CK1.
I like DKNY & Davidoff cool water for women too.
