It's clips like this that make me wonder if I should get a dash cam. Handy of the other car to drive off straight away too! I guess they knew there would be a dash cam, but just offering assistance might have be nice.

This interesting site was mentioned on BBC's Click programme yesterday:

    http://roadskillmap.com/

It shows 18.6 road deaths per 100,000 people in Russia compared to 3.7 in the UK.

Why anyone would choose not to wear a seatbelt is beyond me.

At lot of Eastern European countries have severe problems with mental health and alcoholism.

This sort of accident happens more often than you think in the UK. Think of all those lovely single track roads in the countryside - Devon, Cornwall, Lake District. You drive along carefully, you see an oncoming car and stop, for some unknown reason the other driver doesn't click that there is a car or the expectation of one and drives head on into you. They scream blue murder at you for being there, rural road with no witnesses, settled 50/50, case closed for a good dashcam.
    The man without a signature.

This video is tasteless, why somebody would post it on youtube is beyond me!!

Also the fact nobody rushed to help this poor lady and a car even drove away is sickening.

I agree with regard to many of the Russian dash cam videos on YouTube, but in this case the driver sat up, and they weren't going fast enough for their head to break the windscreen so I don't expect there were any life threatening injuries.

You can still cause sever harm to yourself at low speeds, particularly without a seat belt on. We can't possibly no what assistance this lady requires unless we approach her.

Even if that could be a valid argument, still no reason some couldn't offer up their details as witnesses when any injuries are resolved and the drivers are left to deal with the financial aspects of it.

I very specifically said 'life threatening' in my last post. Yes you will know far more by seeing and speaking with the casualty, but knowledge of the energy of the collision and the fact that they are conscious (they sat up) are indicative of the significance of any injuries. It would be wrong to categorically state that the driver didn't die as a result of this collision, but I would suggest that it is highly unlikely. (I am not an expert in this regard, but my comment wasn't competely naive either.)

I agree - I referred to the other driver leaving the scene in my first post.
