Also, my Benefit They're Real mascara really needs to be thrown away as it has been open a while and not much left in it really.

Was thinking about washing the wand and then using this with another cheaper mascara because surely it's the wand that makes a product good rather than the actual mascara itself? What do other people think? I just don't want to fork out £19 for a mascara really (this one was a gift!)

Yes very good point, I hadn't thought of that. Maybe I will use it as a lash comb as evilsquid suggested. Can anyone suggest a good budget mascara?

They're Real is my HG mascara at the moment, I tend to get the travel/trial sized ones off Ebay cheaply at around £5 as I tend to throw full size mascaras of any kind out after probably 2 months as I find they dry out so don't actually UU as such plus they're cheaper this way and you avoid the fakes which tend to be full sized given their nature  Also, this one is a magazine freebie sometimes, so next time I see it I'll stock up then too HTH

Benefit seems to have snuck in to being my makeup of choice and holds the majority share in my makeup bag and routine - what does everyone else like? I don't really have one brand that figures most in skincare or toiletries in general but I find makeup wise they do have some clever products I really like that I seem to be sticking with.
Aching all over as am coming down with a cold, feel horrible. Curling up in layers and drinking lots of tea. In good news though, I have the doggie for another week. My family member realised she needs a little more time at home to get her strength back and has asked me to hold on to him for a few days more. He's a gorgeous dog and we curled up together for a nap earlier, had my own giant hot water bottle to help me feel better.

I feel like this today too! So glad you've still got a furry companion to keep you company and nice and warm!! I don't know what's up with me I've just felt rotten since I woke up, today is the first day I can remember lately when I don't have to be somewhere or do something so its looking like a duvet day :D One thing I do really need to do today is dye my hair :( Always a chore, but my roots are terrible, I used John Frieda foam colour last time and found it was very poor covering my grey so back to L'Oreal Preference I know works! I too, like Val, want to try the Elasticizer soon as if I like it I can sweep up any spare copies of Instyle as my hair is driving me mad at the moment. Can I just say though I was most disappointed in the magazine itself and was glad I only bought it for the freebie, I found it incredibly shallow and boring, nothing caught my interested and I flicked through it in minutes!

Still holding strong on only 2 IN so far for Sept (although that could change today if I'm housebound and have the laptop/phone in my reach and boredom sets in!) I do have the urge to treat myself but there's nothing I really need at the moment - I ordered some new clothes last night so that might quell the impulse! I've a few more small UU: Balance Me body wash - WBA, love the smell and leaves my skin very soft. Clarins Double Serum - no idea if this did anything as was only a one use sachet, doubt Id BA as knowing Clarins it'll be expensive (too lazy to check!), finally GA Si sample - very unusual and sweet fragrance which was fairly subtle on, WMBA

I'm hoping the thread will be busy today :)

  • I was v busy avoiding all toiletries in boots when I went to get cold and flu tablets. I did pick up two new rollers for the micropedi though.
I've had a look through the number 7 glitch thread and realised there really is nothing I need or want at the moment. Except a beautiful pair of winter boots from Dune.
Now curled up with the wolf laid across my lap keeping me warm, who needs central heating when you have a dog the size of this :o

What type of dog is he? Since you said a wolf I'm guessing a husky.....

I went mad with the glitch last time in getting things to resell on ebay, plus a few things for myself but tbh I don't want or need anything more so I'll stick my vouchers on ebay and see if someone buys them!

No, it's my term of endearment for him, he's an alsatian collie cross, almost pure black with two bolts of white and the big 'collar' of fur around his shoulders which makes him look even bigger. He is huge however, weighed in at 46kilos at the vets this week (100lb). He doesn't seem to be feeling v well today, he's still got an ear infection, and all he wants to do is lay on my lap, sit right next to me, stand right next to me. He's a clingy pup :o

Awww I hope he feels better soon! I used to share my bed with our dog Lucy before I had to rehome her, she was a beautiful pure bred Golden Retriever, I still feel tears spring to my eyes when I think of her. She was 7 when I rehomed her in 2002 so she'll be gone now, I left her with the nicest family who said I could visit whenever I wanted, but I never went back, I just couldn't face it for several reasons.

She was simply amazing, she used to get into the sea and start swimming for France, many times I stood on the beach calling her, slowly undressing in case I had to go and get her  (I never did have to luckily!)

I'm still more than a little bit in love with Golden Retrievers, there's a lovely boy dog a few houses down, there's something so majestic about them. If I ever was to get a dog, it would have to be a goldie *sniff*

    Ok Scrubs:

I've been a bit obsessed with the Loreal Exfotonic (comes in a tube), I think its called Sublime over here and hides with the tanning stuff.

I finished up a tube and decided I'd crack open a Body Shop scrub...

It feels like I'm coating myself in oil :( when did this happen to Bodyshop scrubs? Im sure they never used to be like this!!

I have an IN, but once I got it home today I've decided I'm going to stash it away and give it to myself for around the "C" word time as a little treat as I really don't need it now!!

It's a Montagne Jeunesse Apricot Scrub mask (plus a free little Kelp & Seaweed Mud Pac mask was attached). Looks nice! Now I just need another UU not an IN!
