Ran out of heating oil yesterday, am very thankful I have a wood Burner! I usually turn heating off at the end of March, so wondering wether to just run with the wood burner as when I looked at ol prices, they have nearly doubled to what I paid in the summer!

Will have trial run for a week and see how I get on

This year, I decided to budget for more things and separate them into actual pots (burglar would have field day at mine! ) and it’s really going well. If I forget a birthday, no prob, the money is there allocated for it. Same goes for hols or a trip to theatre

I have no big projects this year so any spare money will go into my f and f pot. I aim to clear my tax credit debt by the summer, then it’s onto making an offer on my lowest debt

My emergency fund is slow going as something always seems to be going wrong lately. Microwave and iron both blew up in the last two weeks but car boot season is nearly upon us and I will look there

My daughter has also just changed flats and may want my spare dining table. So I’m currently finishing sanding and painting that. If it doesn’t fit in her kitchen then it will be sold

Finally, my emergency fund is complete. Left 1/3 in current account as a buffer and easy access, the rest in premium bonds

Started the help to save account, long term plan for new car so extra free money will be handy

Started on eBay again to try and rid the house of some clutter and hopefully gain some pennies
