No show viewers!!!!!!!

WHY DONT YOU LET THE SELLER KNOW YOU ARE NOT TURNING UP

Its so typically rude of us English and I hate it.

What is wrong with saying you have decided against it or cant get to see the property

Happened to me with the EA not turning up to show me around the flat when I was a buyer.

I just assumed they died in a car crash, that stopped me from getting annoyed at them.

is this happening to you a lot?
could this not be a reflection on how you or your estate agent is dealing with people and not wanting to speak to you again, rather than English being being typically rude?

Thisis just (a frustrating)part of theprocess.

Accept that itwill happen and don't get stressed.

It's the same whether the viewers are buyers, or renters.

Or even contractors (who you may pay!). They say they'll come to give you a quote - no show. Or stranger still, they come out, look, and never send/phone in the quote.

You can spend your life ranting at these inconveniences, and have an early heart attack, or open a bottle of wine and chill out!

Nope. You automatically thought it was to do with me!

just my experience after selling several houses

You get a call, arrange a viewing and they don't show
whats difficult in letting someone know you are not going to view it?

A year ago I had a car for sale, someone was coming to see it, I got it out of the garage and time had past I called them to see if they were still coming
They told me that had been and wasn't interested and drove off
Never knocked on or called to let me know.

I've had that, it's so annoying when you have other things to do or places to go.

I was lucky when we were selling the house, there was only one no show. I was very unimpressed though as I had a 5 yr old, an almost 3 yr old and was 8 months pregnant (and huge) and it was the only viewing when I couldn't send the boys next door for a couple of hours to tidy round.

More likely something off-putting in the location not foreseen when viewing the ad on the Internet.

We had messy neighbours, which put a few people off. They weren't extreme, but the price of the property probably implied you'd get tidier ones. You would now, because they've sold and gone; it's the people who bought my house who are slightly messy! :rotfl:

Quite often people will arrange to view a property and when they turn up, if they don't like the outside, they'll just start the car up and drive off. It's very rude but they would sooner do that than waste their time looking around inside.

Well if they don't study Googlemaps in the first place before arranging to view......

But if something didn't show up on Googlemaps that is evident on getting there it's easy enough to make a quick call to the EA and cancel the visit isn't it? The vendor will still have been put out for nothing....but at least they aren't hanging around waiting and wondering.
