Parking - Letter Before County Court Claim (LBCCC) - Fight back! Guidance Thread

Wow this is some great information i recently had a parking ticket that i paid at its original amount of £60 after first appealing the ticket. It was with London borough of Havering, once i paid the ticket i was informed that i had to pay a further £60 as i had missed the 14 day cut of period. I refused to pay this additional amount however Havering persisted to pursue me for the money. The ticket was then raised to £180 which again i refused to pay i was then summonsed to court where i filed my defence ticking the box stating that i had already paid. A week later after i had field my defence i received a letter from Northampton County Court confirming that the case has now been closed. From my understanding once you have paid a parking ticket at the original amount if it goes to court it will get thrown out.0

Do not read parking threads that are this old, the legal arguments have long since changed and the pre-action protocol was updated in 2017.

[Text removed by MSE Forum Team] refers to a lady at Parking Eye with the initials RL.
R = the character played by Jennifer Aniston in Friends
L = there are a Motor Factors company in Wigan with this name
MSE are spineless and have folded to a LBA from Parking Eye's solicitors, and that LBA is probably non-conforming to the Practice Direction on Pre-Action Conduct anyway.

Yep 3 posts by Daisy have been edited, I wonder if they asked her to change these posts? It's a shocking misuse of posts by the powers that be at MSE!Last edited by MSE ForumTeam2; Yesterday at 10:19 PM.When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

absolutely pathetic as Rachel Ledson's name is in the public domain and well associated with Parking Eye - unless of course Capita have paid the second instalment and will dispense with her services.

Fabulous - thank you very much for taking the time to write this. Late last year I got caught by Parking Eye and your instructions worked a treat. It's easy to see (now that you have written it down) how they work.
Basically I have no problem paying for parking but the notices were so small and the reaction so tough that what they do is not right.
I went back to car park for the express purpose of checking out the parking.
No barriers, no ticket machines and only small yellow plates stuck on the wall amidst huge advertising signs. There is no way you can be expected to 'see' this whilst manouvering round a busy carpark that looks to all intents and purpose to be free.
Thank you so much again

Fabulous explanations by Daisy. I am in awe at the effort you guys put in to help people. I haven't got to the LBC stage yet, but I feel so less stressed after reading this...
[Also: can I sue Daisy for damages if I get RSI from clicking the 'Thanks' button so much?]
