It wont stop a parking eye claim and the judges have quite clearly shown many times they dont care about protocols.I do Contracts, all day every day.0

I use this post as my bible for replying to Letters before County Court Action but to read it all where the right of the page is chopped off, go to the tab at top of the page 'Thread View' and change to 'Show Printable version' - if you want to print (I print to PDF to save on my computer) change printer to landscape orientation.0

and here is the latest link to the current practice directions as posted by HO87 on your thread

Hi
Newbie to posting so please forgive any transgressions
Just thought it might be worth adding somewhere in the dialogue that if you choose to fight the LBC / Parking fine (currently doing so with the usual suspects) that if you should lose, you receive a CCJ against you which goes on your credit rating. Just received the Claim Form documents and it states that this is the case although I have definitely seen it posted on MSE that this is not the case.
Does make a difference as to whether someone is prepared to fight back or not
Thanks0 -
No.
A ccj only affects your credit status if you get one and don't pay it in full within a month of getting it.
You either have misread or misquoted what you have read.0 -

2013!
Do not read parking threads that are this old, the legal arguments have long since changed and the pre-action protocol was updated in 2017.
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED, DO NOT READ OLD THREADS

1 Scotland If you are the Registered Keeper, and you live in Scotland, it is still safe to ignore as PoFA 2012 does not apply in Scotland.
Just to clarify here - does this only apply if the supposed 'offence' took place in Scotland - or does it also apply to PCNs issued in England but to a car registered in Scotland?
What is likely to happen to a Scottish car owner receiving an LBCCC based on a PCN given south of the border (which has been ignored)? Does the PPC generally just give up at this stage?0 -

I have an daft question: If LBCCC is served right near the end of 6 years (5 yr 11 month or something), and at that time if you "reset" the clock, does that mean after all POPLA process or ignoring everything, it will exceed the 6 years limit and small claim will no longer to be enforced? Or it will reset this 6 years as well?0

MUI that litigants have to bring an action within six years, it can go on for years after that. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
