Hi bk, far more scary if they catch you out! Yes, I just keep a s/s and I include qmee as that is earned too. :)

I shall give them a ring in a bit then, see I they can help me set everything up.

  • Huh, just spoke to a lady from HMRC who went and confirmed with two other people but said that it doesn't count as taxable income to do things like clixsense and Field Agent because it's a rewards system.

I am relieved but also confused because it seems so many here register self employed for it.

But she said she would make a note on my account about it to say I had enquired.

  • I'm sorry i haven't been around Hok. I have just caught up all your diary and your Christmas break seemed perfect! I read on their website about how they stock the cupboards with fresh local ingredients, that is a fantastic touch. I would love to go myself one day!

Your debt busting is going fantastic too. I have every faith in you smashing your debt free date!!

Ooooohhhhh, now I didn't know that. I thought it was all earned income. The self assessment I just put in was for a business I ran on the side and I was going to add my income from this for my next return....think I'll call HMRC and have a note put on my account too! I know that there are many people here who register as self employed for mystery shopping. Let me know if you find anyone on the forum who can clarify or confirm. Very curious now.

Hiya crimson! Lovely to hear from you! Yes, it was absolutely terrific. If you get chance to head that way, I highly recommend staying there. I am already missing the peace and quiet but it has solidified my desire to live in the country!

Yes I was surprised but happy I asked! I described the site as in you watch adverts and get paid a small amount for each ad, etc and she said it was a reward scheme. I asked if that counted for field agent because I was going to shops and taking pictures of products etc but she said yes!

Fair enough, Crimson! If I could convince Mr HOK3Y to go back next Christmas, I would but I think he wants to go to Scotland. :) We will definitely go back to the hayloft at some point though.

BK, I am really surprised but happy! I will get hold of HMRC myself and confirm so that I can rest easy not reporting it to them. I do not want to fall foul of them!

  • Oh exactly, when I rang I was actually ringing to explain that I needed help with the whole self employment thing but she just told me it is non taxable and not to worry! Would definitely be good to hear another person be told the same thing though. Just to be doubly sure.

Hiya pap! Yeah, I am a tad obsessive, huh?! It's okay, I'm pretty cool with my OCD!! :D I have plugged all my debts into my spreadsheet and my goal is to be DF by 30 June 2014. Chances are fair to good that it will happen before then but for now, that's the goal. I have a piece of jewellery on consignment that I just wish would sell - it would all be over with that one cash influx but, alas and alack, larger pieces can take considerable time to find a new owner and that's kinda where I am at the mo. It will happen when the time is right! :)

Have you tried out clixsense pap? If not, let me know and I'll send you a referral link. Happy to help with strategy too. I'm excited to see what I can make by the end of Jan! :j

Oh no obsessive isn't bad. Positive vibes to you that the jewellery sells, that would be an end to all your problems. Still June is fantastic considering the amount of debt you started with :T

No I haven't Hok3y, I tend to stick with swagbucks however that has taken a back seat as I need to dedicate any free time to study really. Maybe once the exams have passed I can concerntrate on it a bit more. Am waiting till the end of Jan to see you totals.

How's your wombled receipts going? You haven't posted about them lately.
  • Hey Hok, have you (or any one else) used ClickSnap? i have just come across it and thinking i might give it a go on my next shopping trip.

Basically, you get cashback on certain goods. It gives you a list of items, quantity and amount of cashback, you buy them then take a photo of the receipt and send it off.

Obviously you would only buy the things off the list that you need and would use.....
