  • HOK3Y what a totally c@rp situation to be in all round - no positive spin on that :(

With regard to the kids - with self indulgent teenagers yes the material things are going to sway them (lets face it we have all been that me me me teenager at some point in our lives) but you just have to keep hope that one day their priorities will change and want to rebuild that relationship with you - its happened recently to a friend of mine who despite paying over £1400 in child maintenace a month did not see his kids for 7 years - at first probably due to thier mum her bitterness at the split and then after awhile they said that they didnt want to see him . However about 10 months ago the eldest (now 19) made the first move in wanting to spend time and see him and they now regulary spend time with each other - hes not quite there with the youngest 2 but its looking positive and at least they are all back in contact- I can only hope and pray that your kids reach that point sooner rather than later.
In the meantime lets all call out to the universe for karma to unload a huge can of whoopa$$ on your ex

Thanks scotdebs. X I am hopeful that tomorrow my head will be in a better place. Just a shame it had to happen right before my exam! At this point, all I care about is a passing grade. As it is the first level, it won't matter what my mark is for the degree so a pass is just fine.....and seeing as I was so preoccupied I had to read questions repeatedly, this could be a tough call. Ugh. Well, there's always the resit in December! Keeping my fingers crossed it won't come to that.

On a positive note, I found 4p in Leeds station and it made me smile! It was as if the Universe was wishing me luck! :)

I'm sure you'll have done great on your exam. And anyway it's done now and worrying won't change anything, when you get the results you can deal with it as necessary then, but if you put as much drive into studying as you do debt busting you'll fly through!

4p is a brilliant find! Whoop! I never find any road kill! But then again I never go anywhere apart from work and home, and I've already cleared home out! Haha!

:) I'm ridiculous about roadkill - I've found over £16 this year so far!

Not worrying about the exam - as you say, it is done. Time for me to chill a bit because working full time and taking 2 Uni classes while Ebaying the house to death has not made for a lot of down time! So chill out time before the next round starts in Feb!

I am SO relieved! When you mentioned 'roadkill' in an earlier post I thought you literally were hoping to peel dead animals off the road for your dinner! :rotfl:

So I kind of feel like a weight has lifted now that I don't have to study myself into the ground in the next few months. I can kind of breeeeaaaaathe. So it seems that I have some extra time on my hands.......wonder what I can do with that......oh yeah! Bust my debt a bit harder!!! :D Alright, let's see if we can kick it up a notch or two in the next few months!

So today is a new day and HOK3Y has her positive head on......which is saying something after getting up at 6am and getting ready for a day in the office! I see my boss for the first time today in almost a month between my holidays and his and I have a couple of things to run past him that he may not be too thrilled about but I'll do it with a smile......and I'll take choccie biccies as he loves them!! Hey, use a man's stomach to your advantage whenever you can!

Meanwhile, I just have one member of staff in on my team but she's the easiest one to work with and she's kick-!!! at her job so it is likely to be a great day regardless. Don't know what I am on about - it is very rare to have a bad day in there.

So nice, mellow day for me. Hope everyone else is looking at an easy day with low/no spend. I will come home tonight and set up some Ebay listings. Gotta fix some matched bets too as that slipped with my study and exam. Hoping for a little roadkill too! No taking our eyes off the ultimate goal: DEBT FREE!!!!!

Well, lunchtime is here and I've had to go and buy s/f polos for the dish on my desk. I love having mints on my desk, not only for me but also because people stop to hover and pinch one. After starting my job there only 3 months ago, it has been a helpful tool to get to know people. Of course, now I get emails asking me to switch out for sherbet pips and tic tacs! :D

Anyway, I save 75p by buying 3 rolls for £1.20 - cool. Small price to pay for making lots of people smile when they stop by my desk. :)

Hubby made my lunch for me so I didn't have to spend a penny for that - or raise a finger! Dinner is leftovers so no cost there. We did win a small amount with the lottery syndicate at the weekend so they owe all of us well over £1 now......is it wrong that I am really excited by this?!

Nothing wrong with being excited over £1!!

We never win anything on our lottery syndicate. Boo! Each week I cross my fingers and hope that this time will be our time!
