Not read all your diary yet but I'm in a similar position, but I've moved from the North back home to the South and am also living with parents (for a short while, the shorter the better).

Looking forward to reading the rest and seeing what you're up to.

I recommend not reading much of this one, it mostly says the same thing.
    Bored. Unemployed. Bored. Drunk. :A

Have found your diary so will have a read and say Hi over there when I have chance later today.

Very little (but look at the time I managed it today :A)

In my world a want to do list is a I will do it list just sometimes takes me a while to get around to it. As for not having a job with nutty shifts.. well as this is me what other type of job would I get I have quite a track record for nutty shift patterns!

My parents worry when I drive just not about me - I think they worry more about my car and people around me, not entirely sure why since its been 8 years since I last had an accident.

So far today I am doing well at not spending money again, drove my sister in to town so she could get a tattoo done, she bought me breakfast while I was waiting. We're about to get the train in to Manchester to meet Dad for lunch then sister is heading back to London. So while I'm in Manc I think I might visit the Science and Industry Museum, not been there since I was a kid and fancy going playing in the experiements room. :D

That's the nature of parents. They probably worry every time you're on a bike without stabilisers because you fell off once...

Yup. Had a ball kicking small(er) children off things so I could play. Sadly it was the only bit of the museum I enjoyed - grumpy review posted on ciao as a result.

They'd be a lot more worried if they realised I plan to learn to ride a motorcycle when I'm working again.....

So to continue my day of free stuff I then walked to the pub with mum to attend the weekly quiz - they won last week so I bought one drink and had four more turn up in front of me (the prize for a win is 8 free pints or 16 halves).

So today I have spent £7, I've had breakfast out, lunch out, a trip to Manchester and a visit to the pub. I'd say as these things go its something of a win.

Having another grump this evening, this time it's at 1poll, I've hit £39.90 and there have been no paying surveys yesterday or today. Hopefully there'll be at least one tomorrow so I can get cashed out.

Well hopefully they'll improve as a result of bad reviews. Or was yours the only bad one?

I said that to my parents and they were very supportive. This is either:
    1. They want me dead... :rotfl:
    2. They remember just how much time they spent on a motorcycle when they were younger and realised it would be hypocritical to moan about it.

    :T Score!

I take it that you didn't win this week?

Shame every day couldn't be like that.

It sounds like a few people have pretty much the same thoughts - I guess for schools it's a great resource but they're doing nothing to encourage repeat visitors. But it was at risk of closure not so long ago so with any luck they will be starting to revamp some of the galleries and exhibits now it's not threatened with closure.

When I start learning I plan on just not talking to them about it, much easier and far more peaceful.

Ahh but we did win this week - so next week if I want to go sit with people my mums age and older I'm welcome to go join their team - after all I was the only person on the team who knew what CMYK meant.

It's a cruel tease - esp as I realised tomorrow is Saturday so there probably won't be any surveys uploaded until Monday now. But at least when I get there I know they do pay out relatively quickly and can get to work on the next £40 cash out.

At least the final one of this £40 will go quick.

Given the dive kit and military kit I have in boxes around the house and garage they probably wouldn't bat an eye lid at leather outfits! I suspect dresses and make up would concern them more. :D

HSV nope without googling I don't have a clue.

As long as there are surveys to do it'll be very quick, the frustration will be screening out.

Not all teases are cruel, some are quite good fun. ;)

The military kit? Ah yes, the RPG-7 to get the cats off the lawn...

It always used to irritate me that:
Q 141 - Should you be screened out?

    A1 Yes
    A2 Of course

Often it depends on whether you're the teaser or the teasee... ;)
