Hi . For me this has nothing to do with a cancelled booking spat. The reviews of the (Insert name Here) are so uniformily bad and humourous (with IMHO- one dubious exception) that they are well worth a wider internet audience. HTH

I do agree that it is bad, but I think that by pushing to the top of the rankings an issue with cancellations.. the only thing it will serve to do is push the pages with complaints about the hotel further down.

I have to agree that this kind of attempt to ruin a business are over the top.. I vaguely remember a similar vigilante attempt some years ago against a small band who refused a refund. That went on for a long time.

Seems a bit harsh to try and destroy a business because they wouldn't cancel the OP's booking!

Not trying to destroy anything, just hoping to draw peoples attention to the reviews which is sort of the point of reviews & this site.

Had the OP read them they would be having this problem

My mistake, I didn't realise the point of this site was to repeatedly name a business over and over again in numerous posts in the hope that anyone who googled the hotel's name would see that they wouldn't cancel a hotel room for the OP.

I fail to see how that fits in with "consumer rights" but obviously I am new to this site so i don't understand all the rules.

And how will pushing the reviews down the search results by having this page above it help?

It's more to do with highlighting the standard of customer service and frankly appalling reviews on facilities & cleanliness.

I'm sure there is niche market for hotels like that, if they are cheap enough then punters might not be that concerned about facilities or cleanliness but they should know what they are buying. That is just what a consumer rights site should be doing in my view

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one.. As long as they are not breaching the consumer rights (good customer service is not a consumer right) then I don't think that is what this site is about.

They are plenty of review sites for things like that.

You have not experienced their standard of customer service so I don't see why you are launching a crusade against this place.

If this site is a review site I will start posting reviews off all restaurants/pubs and hotels that I visit. After all according to you the point of a consumer rights site is to let people "know what they are buying". Therefore my experiences of different establishments is obviously key consumer right information ;)
