If you've booked another hotel in the same area, make sure you turn up at the Hop Pole and check in. Then go to the room, drop some rubbish in the bin, biscuit crumbs on the carpet and un-make the bed, just so they have to clean it after you. Just to get your moneys worth....

It is a big deal yes but it's a personal matter... I can't discuss it on here... otherwise I would be of the same opinion.

That is the problem, you had a specific need and the hotel and the booking company both make it pretty clear that their were no ensuite facilities.

My thoughts exactly, otherwise they will rebook the room and get double.

I have just read tripadvisors review of the Hop Pole in Bromyard too. As others have advised if you have time pop in and take a few photos of your room anyway and could then possibly get a refund anyhow. Eric thinks its a great place, but he seems to be swimming against the tide of opinion !

Looking at the Tripadvisor reviews it looks like you had a lucky escape from the Hop Pole in Bromyard.

Hopefully google will pick up the multiple references to the Hop Pole in Bromyard so others will see the reviews & the OP's report of the customer service

To be fair, I really don't see the point of trying to bump this post up the Google rankings, I think that whichever link a potential customer clicks on will result in them not booking.

Seems a bit harsh to try and destroy a business because they wouldn't cancel the OP's booking!

From what i have read on Tripadvisor about the Hop Pole in Bromyard, the only people trying to destroy that particular business live and work in Bromyard at the Hop Pole!

Yes but you've not been there yourself so its really nothing to do with you.

There is really no need to repeatedly mention the name of the establishment in this thread in an attempt to promote it in the google rankings.

It seems an unneccessary unpleasant act. Small business's have enough trouble keeping afloat without the actions of a small group of internet trolls!

Ironically, by quoting other posts you are also repeating the business name. :p

Yes i deleted it from his post but didn't realise that he was so petty as to name the business twice!

I'll amend. Thanks for pointing it out
