How or why do you think itcan it be a fake?? the Document is from the DVLC

If its from the DVLC then its definitely a fake, we use the DVLA in the UK;);)

Have you asked the dealer if there is any tax still on the car? Are you buying the car with 12/6 months tax as part of the deal?

Not long ago, the DVLA was forced to replace every single V5 in the UK, because several hundred thousand (the exact number is unknown) blank documents were stolen from the DVLA.

8 or 9 business days to get a V5 is very quick

I have just rung the dealer to inform him we don't want the car
my husband has just been told he is working nearer to home, so we don't need this car, or want 4 grand on credit, we have forfeited the 200 quid, to get credit we don't need , the chap said he put the v5 Doc in my husband name to save having extra owners, he said just drop the v5 off to him.

I would call the DVLA before you hand it back. If the V5 is genuine then your O/H will be responsible for tax and speed tickets until his name has been removed by the DVLA.

If its a fake then call the police.

I rang back the Dealer he said not to worry as he a Sorn it and to just hand back the Docs so I am not going to worry, if the car had had the v5 at the time we would be in for 4 grand ,, I learn t not to let my hubby rush into buying things;)

Keep a copy of the V5 for your records in-case anything comes back at you in the future.
