  • Just picked up two in nottingham and sure enough they were vax.
I brought two at the same time and received different models the shop staff were most confused.
    Started comps 7th August 2007 total for 2007 £1890
had a break for a couple of months £835 / £2008 wins this month,
    DVD
  • I thought id give this a go!
I reserved the last one at a plymouth store, when i went to collect i didnt get the one mentioned on this site but i did recieve a vax cleaner -
    S88-w1m-b.
I googled this and looks like it retails at £70 directly from vax but on offer online(not for 25!) So still ended up with a good deal!
  • Picked up one of these at the weekend and got a Vax :j, have used it twice now and it's leaving a cloudy streaky effect. Is anyone else getting this. I have black polished porcelain tiles running from hallway through to kitchen and into utility and it looks terrible.
    Any ideas?

it could be lime, I use filtered water out of the drinking water filter jug we have. also are you letting it get hot before starting. mop with bursts of steam don't keep trigger pressed otherwise you get hot water out.
  • I got the deal in Shrewsbury, yesterday, and, like Gemmad1990, got the VAXS88.

it has no trigger? I do let it heat up as per instructions before I start, have to say it does leave the floor quite wet as well.
Am I doing it all wrong then? Just following what it said.....
    should add, its the VaxS88
  • this is out of stock in my local store and unavailable to order , never mind :(

ok then not a trigger. the thing you squeeze to allow the steam to come out. if you pull it in for seconds you will get better results. do not keep it pulled in or the floor will be too wet as you are allowing hot water to come out and not steam. used correctly floor stays dry.

I couldn't get it in my local store either - worth trying a little further afield, if there are others within a reasonable distance.
  • Would anyone let me know if there any available in North london as I have been unable to locate any stock?
    Many thanks.
